Upcoming Turn Closures at San Fernando Boulevard
and Buena Vista Street
Beginning May 5, 2015, through 2017
Construction and closure schedules are subject to change.
WHAT’S HAPPENING: To complete work on the elevated railroad
tracks, three turn pockets at the Buena Vista Street/San
Fernando Boulevard intersection will be temporarily closed for
approximately two years.
WHERE: Three turn pockets will be closed at the Buena Vista
Street/San Fernando Boulevard intersection.
LEFT TURN POCKET CLOSURES
Left turns are prohibited. Detours will be provided.
1 Eastbound San Fernando Boulevard to northbound
Buena Vista Street
2 Southbound Buena Vista Street to eastbound San Fernando
Boulevard
RIGHT TURN POCKET CLOSURE
The turn pocket is closed, but right turns are allowed from the right
through lane.
3 Westbound San Fernando Boulevard to northbound
Buena Vista Street
WHEN: The closures are expected to begin on May 5, 2015, and last approximately two years.
WHY: The closures are necessary so that crews can complete work on the elevated railroad tracks.
