You will explore many different materials and ways to create artwork. Everyone will draw, paint, make prints, sculptures and craftwork in their own unique way. Learn to mix and match colors to paint several beautiful compositions and arrangements. Build your art portfolio and prepare for the next level of art. (SE042O) “Let’s Make a Play” with Charmaine Crowell– White (SE0250) Explore music through singing, playing instruments, moving and listening while learning music concepts and skills. A culminating performance will be presented. This class is designed for students in grades 2‐5 who want to learn to imagine. The class focuses on movement, theatre games, diction, stage presence and improvisation. Drama text will be based on fairytales and other classic children’s literature. An in‐depth look at the creative process, from developing confidence to effective use of the body, voice and the brain in the theatre arts. Students will incorporate techniques for developing scripted literature as well as improvisational scenes and monologues. Beginning Violin (SE114O) Learn to play the violin and jumpstart participation in the Chesterfield County Public Schools’ orchestra program. Beginning students will learn the foundations of music reading through literature studied. Instruments will be provided. A culminating performance will be presented.
