In his personal capacity he is chair of trustees of Transition Network, which supports the transition movement around the world, and of the Department for Energy and Climate Change’s Community Energy Contact Group. [email protected] Councillor Jacqui Rayment, Southampton City Council Councillor Jacqui Rayment has represented Bevois Ward in Southampton as a Labour Councillor since 2002. She has been a Councillor since 1997, and became Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport on 16 July 2013, which includes all regulatory services including the Port and Airport. Having been born in Southampton, Jacqui knows the city and its diverse communities well, and has worked to support many local residents with the issues that concern them. She has held a number of Portfolios which included a range of Council Services including Community Safety, Health & Well Being, Adult Social Care and Enforcement she also chaired the SCC Change board. She recognises the value of both partners and Council working together to tackle the big issues that concern people who live and work in the wider Southampton Area. [email protected] Dawn Baxendale, Chief Executive, Southampton City Council Dawn Baxendale was appointed as Chief Executive for Southampton City Council in July 2013, having served as the Council’s Interim Chief Executive since March 2013. Previously Dawn was the Director of Environment and Economy and has worked in Southampton City Council since 2009. Originally from Huddersfield, Dawn has had an impressive 25 year career in local government and has an excellent track record for providing leadership that delivers success. Starting with a fast-track management scheme with the European Commission, in Brussels, working for the World Bank in Romania, she's worked the length of the country, from Kirklees and Wigan to Portsmouth and Havant. [email protected] Paul Walker, Acting Head of Transport Policy, Southampton City Council Paul is currently the Acting Head of Transport Highways and Parking at Southampton City Council. He Responsible for the overall delivery of transport policy and projects and has led on Strategic Relationships with partner organisations. He is Responsible for ensuring the Capital Programme is delivered through both strategic partnerships with Capita & Balfour Beatty but also ad hoc schemes. Paul has led specific projects including the Legible Networks and Legible Cities project which won the Sign Design Society International Award for Way Marking in 2013 as well as developed the Smart ticketing element of the LSTF Better Connected South Hampshire Project and overseeing its delivery. Paul also has overall responsibility of the My Journey Programme. [email protected] Nick Butler – National Modeshift STARS Manager, Parose Nick has recently joined Parose Projects as National Modeshift STARS Manager and will also spend time working as a Senior Transport Planner. He has worked on sustainable transport projects for over twelve years. For the last eight years he has worked on Darlington Borough Council’s Sustainable Travel Demonstration Town, Cycle Demonstration Town and Local Sustainable Transport Fund projects. He was also a member of the Modeshift Management Board from 2008 to 2015 and held the position of Vice Chair from 2011 to 2015. Nick has vast knowledge and a track record of delivering behaviour change programmes including Programme Management, Personalised Travel Planning, community audits, designing interventions, developing infrastructure, writing and implementing travel plans and designing innovative solutions to complex problems. For the last three years, he has coordinated the Personalised Travel Planning Project for Darlington Borough Council and Durham County Council which targeted over 70,000 households. He has also set up a further round of PTP delivery that will target over 35,000 households across Durham and the Tees Valley in 2015. As National Modeshift STARS Manager he will be coordinating the role out of the Modeshift STARS scheme to schools and local authorities across the country after the Department for Transport provided funding to Modeshift to make STARS the National Schools Award scheme. He is now working with Modeshift to ensure that the STARS concept can also be successfully transferred to residential and workplace travel planning. [email protected] Angela Trevithick - Department for Transport Over the years, Angela Trevithick has worked on a range of policy areas, including transport accessibility and encouraging people to travel differently during the Olympics. She is currently head of the Sustainable Accessible Travel Project Implementation Team, where she is responsible for overall delivery of the Local Sustainable Transport Fund and Cycle Ambition programmes. [email protected] Jeremy Speed – Health Improvement Manager, PHE Wessex Centre Jeremy is a Public Health Specialist who has been working in health improvement since 1995, firstly in local government setting up one of the UK’s first exercise on referral and community based Cardiac Rehabilitation schemes. He then moved into the private sector in 2000 working as an Exercise Physiologist for BUPA Wellness in London and then for a Corporate Wellness start up Rude Health. Jeremy joined the NHS in 2004 and has worked at Bedford, Surrey and Berkshire Primary Care Trusts in a variety of wellbeing roles commissioning Primary Care and Community providers to deliver smoking, physical activity, weight management and alcohol services. His role at PHE Wessex Centre include supporting local implementation of Tobacco, Healthy Weight and Making every Contact Count initiatives. [email protected] Jane Abraham – Consultant, Flourish Workplace Ltd Jane Abraham is a freelance consultant running her own business, Flourish Workplace Ltd, which specialises in engagement, culture, health and wellbeing at work. . She is an accredited assessor for the Workplace Wellbeing Charter, Age Inclusive E-Diagnostic and Organisation for Responsible Business. She is a Senior Lecturer on wellbeing and culture at work, and is a regular keynote speaker in venues across Europe. Jane is a regular guest contributor to industry magazines and the media. She is also the Vice President of the International Stress Management Association (ISMA), a Senior Consultant for Health@Work and PTPI, and an Honorary Research Fellow of the University of Exeter Medical School. Previously Jane has worked for the University of Exeter Medical School, Dame Carol Black and the UK Government delivering the Black report and has won multiple awards for her wealth and wellbeing programmes. [email protected] Lin Seikus - Apprenticeship Placement & Monitoring Officer, Carillion Construction Training Lin Seikus is currently the lead recruiter and an Apprentice Monitor (SMSTS trained), responsible for the welfare, wellbeing, safeguarding and health and safety for Carillion Apprentices during their journey into gaining their qualifications, both in Centre and on Construction sites. Previous to this she has been a Civil Servant for 23 years Jobcentre plus Manager throughout Hampshire and IOW supporting and progressing vulnerable customers into training or employment as well as developing her own staff to full potential.
