Sporting/Open Match
Date: August 15th, 2015. Firing will commence at ~ 12pm, at the 200 yd. line, of the 600
yard Civilian Range.
You must be registered and on the line at 12:00 to participate.
Register: at the clubhouse between 11:00 noon and 11:45pm. No advanced entry
required.
Fee: $15
Entry: Entry is open YMCA Corporate Cup Participants and all established high power
rifle competitors.
Rules: NRA rules will apply.
Equipment: Only Center Fire High Power Rifles allowed for the NRA category. See the
NRA rules at nra.org (See NRA Sporting rulebook 2013, pgs. 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 et al.)
All others will be firing “out-of competition” with regard to the NRA Sporting Match.
Custom/Open rifles allowed for their respective category.
Any other CMP/NRA High Power equipment such as mats, scopes, etc. allowed. The
1907 leather sling, the M-1 web or “as-issue” sling is allowed.
Targets: the SR target fired from 200 yards.
Course of fire:
7.14 High Power Sporting Rifle Match Course (32 shots for record +8 sighting shots
total):
Prone 2 sighters followed by 8 slow 200 yds SR
Standing 2 sighters followed by 8 slow 200 yds SR
Sitting or Kneeling 2 sighters followed by 8 rapid 200 yds SR (two four shot strings)
Prone 2 sighters followed by 8 rapid 200 yds SR (two four shot strings)
8.2 Time Allowances:
(a) Slow Fire - The time allowance is one minute per shot.
(b) Rapid Fire - In rapid fire, the competitor is to be in the prescribed position for the
stage of fire when the command "COMMENCE FIRING" is given. The time limit for 4
shots will be 30 seconds.
Awards: YMCA will announce winners in their newsletter.
Competitors will shoot, score and perform pit and other duties as assigned.
Eye and hearing protection is mandatory for all competitors while firing is ongoing.
A brimmed hat is also required in the pits, while firing is ongoing.
Use of empty chamber indicator (ECI) is required.
