Place: to be held in conjunction with the Arnprior Canine Association All-Breed Championship
Dog Show at the Nick Smith Center in Arnprior, Ontario. The Arnprior show will offer 4 allbreed competitions during the period of May 8 to 10th.

Participant Gift Bag: Each entrant will receive a “gift bag” courtesy of the EOSCWT Club, Purina
and Kathy Usher.
Grooming:
 Two Eastern Ontario members live within a 15 minute drive of the hotel and have
offered the use of their dog bathing tubs and grooming tables & dryers to out-of-town
guests who would like to bathe their Wheatens. Please contact either Priscilla Tims

“Wheaten”. A room with two queen-size beds is $109.99 + taxes per night.
 The “pet fee” is being waived if reserved under “Wheaten”.

Assignment: Sweepstakes, Veteran Sweepstakes, Junior Handling
Trophy and Awards




Trophies and rosettes will be offered for the following:
 Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Best of Winners, Best Puppy in Breed, Select Dog,
Select Bitch, Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, and Best Veteran.
 Reserve Winners Dog, Reserve Winners Bitch, Best of Breed Altered, Best Stud Dog, and
Best Brood Bitch.
At the judge’s discretion, an Award of Merit will be offered to one dog for every ten dogs
competing at the Best of Breed Level. Award of Merit dogs will receive a trophy and rosette.
Perpetual Trophies
 The Holweit Challenge Trophy – offered to the Best in Specialty
 The Maureen Holmes Trophy – offered to the Best Canadian Bred in Specialty
Ambassador Award:
 The Myshawns Wheaten Ambassador Award – Entries are adjudicated by a committee
of three, chaired by Margaret Stewardson ([email protected]). The award is
presented at the Specialty Banquet. Submit entries to Margaret by April 9, 2015.

Other Events
Specialty Banquet – Saturday - May 9th – following the Specialty
 Our annual banquet will be held on the evening of Saturday, May 9 (following the Specialty) in
the Carleton Room at the host hotel, The Best Western Barons Hotel & Conference Centre
 The banquet will be catered by Fitz Classic Grill, with three menu options:
 Roast Chicken Breast in Brandy/Mushroom sauce,
 Grilled Salmon topped with Mango Salsa sauce, or
 Prime Rib Roast
 A vegetarian option is available upon special request when ordering banquet tickets.

Cost of the banquet is $40 per person (includes meal, taxes and gratuities). Reservation and
payment options can be found on the enclosed “Wheaten Specialty 2015 Participation Form”.
President’s Wine and Cheese – May 8th 4pm to 7pm

Our SCWTAC President, Lana Campbell, will be hosting a Wine and Cheese get-together
on Friday, May 8 at the home of Priscilla Tim, 51 Roundhay Drive (613-226-7186), from 4:00to 7:00 pm
(or, as Priscilla says, “as long as people want to stay”). Those who wish to bathe their dogs in Priscilla’s
dog tub are welcome to use her dog grooming facilities.
Annual General Meeting – May 8th 6pm - In conjunction with the President’s Wine & Cheese

The SCWTAC Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday, May 8th commencing at 6:00 pm,
in conjunction with the President’s Wine & Cheese, at the home of Priscilla Tims, 51 Roundhay
