2015 SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a graduating minority high school student.
2. Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree at an established college,
university or vocational school with financial need. Other specialized training
or certification may be considered and approved by the NAACP.
3. Must have an overall grade point average of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for
the most completed year of high school. (Official high school transcripts must
be submitted)
Applications:
1. All applications must be turned in to the NAACP office by March 27, 2015
2. In addition to the completed application, each applicant must submit a copy
of the official high school transcript, and two letters of recommendation.
3. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Selection:
1. Applications will be reviewed by the NAACP Education Committee.
2. Selection will be based on academic achievement (transcript), school
activities and honors, volunteer and community activities, and an essay.
3. The potential recipient will be chosen by the Education committee
Award:
1. The recipient of the scholarship will be notified by a member of the NAACP
scholarship committee.
2. Upon acceptance of admission and attendance into the selected college,
university, vocational school etc. The NAACP will issue a one-time check for
the 2015-2016 academic year.
