International Education Conference
(Venezuela and/or Aruba) - August 2016
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PROPOSAL – Tuesday, May 19, 2015
The National Association of Black Social Workers, Inc. is seeking a proposal for an International
Education Conference, 10 days in duration, to: 1) Venezuela and/or Aruba. The proposal should include:
1. 10 day conference, with options to include:
a. A 10-day conference that includes a main conference in one country (Venezuela) with an
optional extension to another country (Aruba)
2. Airfare from a major airport to the conference city
3. Hotel Accommodations in a four (4) ****Star Hotel (Double & Single Rooms); with meeting
room space; within easy transport to the central city
4. Round Trip Transfers and all baggage handling
a. (to/from airport to hotels)
b. (to/from hotel lobby to conferee rooms) - Negotiable
5. Travel over land via air-conditioned motor coach
6. One (1) representative from the contracted agency to travel with the group
7. Tours should explore African history and presence and the impact of African race and culture on
social, political, and economic life experiences in the country
8. Tours and workshops should include presentations about and visits to social service agencies,
educational institutions, and community programs
9. Experienced English speaking local tour guides throughout
10. A welcome Drink
11. A welcome and Farewell Dinner
12. 2 meals per day, including daily breakfast buffet
13. Complimentary trip (air and land) for NABSW President
14. Complimentary Airfare and baggage fees waived for two (2) conference coordinators
15. One complimentary air and land package for every 15 full paying passengers, the 16th person is
free. This includes:
a. Round trip air flight from US to host country
b. Round trip air flight within country
c. All Hotel Rooms, preferably suites
d. All ground transportation
e. Entrance to all programs and attractions
f. Two meals per day
16. Complimentary (or negotiated) hotel conference rooms to include AV equipment (screen,
projector, laptop)
17. Visa application forms, if indicated
