Paint your Pet at Painting with a Twist
Kara Osborne has set a tentative date for the painting party on Sunday, July 5th. We have to have at
least 10 people but no more than 15. Please RSVP ASAP to let me know if you are interested. If we
have 10 interested I will put down a deposit to book the date. I asked for a time in the late
afternoon/early evening. Once it is booked I will send a link to you where you can sign up and pay
individually. The cost is $55.00 and it is usually 3 hours. Here is a link to the location and "Paint Your

like a lot of fun and we can bring our own drinks and snacks!

Update from Debbie and Rocket
Rocket has had a good year in AKC agility so far. At the NACDA trial in late February / early March,
Rocket qualified in Novice JWW. At the Vizsla club trial in April, Rocket qualified in both Novice
JWW and Novice FAST. He completed his Novice Preferred JWW title at the Vizsla trial. At the
Galveston Kennel Club trial over Memorial Day, Rocket qualified in FAST both days that we trialed,
and he completed his Novice Preferred Agility FAST title. He is going to move up to Open in both
JWW and FAST at the Reliant trial coming up in July. He is still testing my patience with contacts, so
he has yet to qualify in an AKC Standard run. I remember having these same issues with Rainey at this
age, and she came around eventually!

News from Denise
I've got some brags. Maggie finished her rally novice title at the Galveston County Trial and Watson
finished his novice jumpers title in ASCA .
News from Kathy
We have a new addition, Gilbert is a CorgiXBorder collie (the best of both breeds) I saw him on
Facebook posted by Jenny Waren( Tucker the corgi's mom). I said he is cute.....and then looked again
then went to the rescue sight....then went back and again. I e-maild for an application no response and
then again got the app. filled it out lickity split.
Got a call as I was mowing the field and the rescue we chatted they said the had 5 apps. on him but she
liked mine the best and said come and get him. Then woops we need a home visit. I was in limbo and
Diane the rescue person called some friends and I got the OK to go to OK to pick up Jake (Gilbert).
Teagan had to approve so off to Oklahoma we go......After an hour in a dog park in the wet and mud we
load up and head for home with a new addition. I-45 closed at Dallas so a detour through Frankston.
I had not had the you need to be part of my pack sense I first say a photo of Henery as a puppy in Idaho.
I had no plans to get a new pup until I stumbled upon Gilbert. He is the best of both breeds a happy guy
intense and willing to please.

I took him out to the field to get some photos in the rain and he learned to jump....the following day he
did figure eights around a jump and lured through 6 weaves..Saturday he did a pin wheel in both
directions.
He was sleeping in a crate.....but we tried the bed Saturday night he settled down with his head on my
ankles and sighed. He got up early to use the dog door and then lined up the toys in the living room in a
nice straight line..hmmm.

Saturday he met my vet Richard Henderson who gave him a clean bill of heath and snapped a photo to
harass Dan Osborn with.
Gilbert and Ping are great buddies he uses her as a pillow and Ping does not object. Lyla likes him too
and is showing him how to chase things out of the yard trying to teach him how to climb trees. Clara is
playing with him too and Teagan gives him the bounce and bark. Gilbert meet a bunch of new friends at
Saturday Agility class. He will be going to an AKC trial in LA next weekend. He will be getting his
CPE number and Debut in November or December with luck. We will also apply for his PAL number
for the December AKC yikes more weave training.
I have a feeling Gilbert will be a great team mate and that this will be a fun ride. Gilbert has fit right in
to the pack... I guess it is true sometimes your dog finds you. We have had the best first week ever.

Clara is 4 years old
Happy Birthday Clara June 21 she is now 4 years old and is coming up on her gotcha day in
July...hoping to finish her NP FAST title by Gotcha day.
Lyla is working towards MACH hoping that the knee will be fixed in August so she has a better team
mate.
Teagan and Ping are taking the summer off Ping is still working on being a good team mate.

No big news this month. The puppies are getting ready for our yearly trip up to Wisconsin to check out
Oshkosh where the Experimental Aircraft Association has their annual weekly show. We will also
check out 4 different CPE dog shows along the way in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa.
