2015 MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Wednesday, March 18, 2015
• Attention all students! Student Council is hosting their annual Talent Show on
Friday, April 10th, at 7pm and we need YOU to sign up! If you are interested in
participating in the show, you can do so by filling out the Sign Up Form that
Student Council will send out via email on Friday, March 20th. Forms must be
dropped off outside Mrs. Alfeo’s Room 318 no later than 2:17pm on Thursday,
April 2nd. Only 16 spots available, so get your form in ASAP! Winners receive
CASH PRIZES!!! Note - there is a MANDATORY meeting for all those participating
on Wednesday, April 8th, at 2:30pm in the Auditorium to discuss the logistics.
Thanks in advance for your participation!
• Vision & Hearing screening for 10th graders will take place today during chemistry
classes. Those who forgot their glasses or need to be rescreened, please stop by
the clinic this Thursday & Friday.

• Do you have Swag? Do you love the fashion of past decades? If you answered
yes to either question then join Natick Gay Straight Alliance for the 4th annual
Swagfest Dance on Friday, March 20th, in the Dining Hall from 7 – 10pm. Cost is
only $5.00. Tickets are on sale at all 4 lunches.
• This year’s prom is on May 15th. Tickets will be $110.00 and sold during all
lunches from Monday, March 30th, to Friday, April 10th. All checks must be made
out to the Class of 2016. Seats will be chosen when tickets are purchased. The
appropriate paperwork must be filled out to register outside guests before tickets
can be purchased.

• Attention seniors: FINAL NOTICE - the deadline for ordering your graduation cap
& gown is this Monday, March 16th.
• Auditions for Natick Drama’s spring production of Our Town will be held in the
auditorium on Tuesday, March 17th, and Wednesday, March 18th, from 2:30pm –
5:00pm. Auditions are open to all. Students are required to bring a completed
indemnity form in order to audition. See Mr. Miller for further details.

• Attention: For all boys interested in playing volleyball this year, there will be an
optional open-gym practice held by the captains today and tomorrow after school
in the gym. All players are welcome.

• Theatre Informational Ice Cream Social – Wednesday, March 11th, at 2:30pm in
the Dining Hall. Come hear about the Spring Show and the audition process.
• Help a feline friend in need! Please donate cat toys, gently used blankets and
canned cat food to the Metrowest Humane Society. There will be a box for
donations in the library. Thank you!
• The Natick High BPA Award winners from the State Conference are: Video
Production Team 1st Place: Sean Freitas, Izak Safran, Sean McDonald, Bo Yang.
Network Design Team 1st Place: Olivia Van Amsterdam, Kate Garry, Craig Coco,
Walker Lambrecht. Network Design Team 2nd Place: Erika Kjersgard, Gabriel
Khoury, Brody Mistrot, Oliver Jennings. Individual Awards go to: Craig Coco,
Oliver Jennings, Gabriel Khoury, Marcus Li, Eli Nottonson, Izak Safran, Kyle
Seymour, Olivia Van Amsterdam, Bo Yang and Joe Zonghi.

• Attention freshmen! Please join us for the spring dance this Friday in the NHS
Dining Hall from 7pm – 11pm. You can buy advance tickets for $12.00 during all
lunches or $15.00 at the door.
• Come hear the Natick High School Choirs perform with the Rhodes College Singers
after school on Thursday in the Auditorium. The exchange concert will begin at
2:30pm and admission is free. There will be information available about Rhodes
College – a small, liberal arts school in Memphis, Tennessee – after the concert.

• Trinka the pet therapy dog will be here today from 10 – 11am. Lilly will be here

• Any juniors interested in taking AP Literature or AP Language next year should
attend one info session – either Tuesday, March 10, or Thursday, March 12, at
2:30 in the Lecture Hall. Attendance at one session is mandatory, please see Mrs.
D’Agostino or Mr. Wall with an extenuating circumstance.
• The Speedball Tournament will be held March 9th – 13th in the gym. It’s opened to
all grades. In order for your team to participate, you must fill out a sign-up sheet
and each player must pay $10.00. This year the money raised is going to the
Rachel Manoli Foundation. Please remember eligibility rules apply! The deadline
to hand in forms and money is Friday, March 6th. Forms and money are being
collected by Trevor Kaplan, Taylor Erickson, Abby Northgraves and Brian Dunlap.

• Congratulations to Kevin Thomas for placing 2nd at the All State Wrestling
Championships. This automatically qualifies Kevin for the New England’s next
weekend. If you see him, wish him luck!

$10.00 for adults.
