This panel will discuss the various first steps your tribe should take when making
this important decision. Getting legal advice, knowing what the state laws are,
understanding the licensing process, developing a solid business plan, deciding
whether or not to hire a consulting firm and having the proper funding in place
are just some of the many things to take into consideration. All of these steps will
be discussed in more detail so you can walk away feeling clearer about where to
begin.

These four states are currently the only states to both legalize medical and
recreational marijuana. What pitfalls did they experience since legalization?

respective funding source including the impact on earnings, cash flow, balance sheet
presentation and taxes. Also, each have a different effect on the company’s leverage,
dilution and many other aspects by which a business is measured. In this panel hear
some of the pros and cons of each option.

In this panel, we will layout all recent developments in the banking
industry when it comes to the marijuana business. What are the
current trends? What options are available and what are the risks?

Professional Interconnective Speed Session Including Fun, Food, Drinks & Prizes
At this round robin style event, exhibitors will have the opportunity to sit and speak
with all participating Tribal representatives for an allotted amount of time. Every
exhibitor will provide one prize, which will be raffled off at the end of the event. Each
attendee will be given one “bingo card” at the start of the round robin and will need
to be present at the time of drawing in order to win a prize. This event will provide
exposure to a larger number of people in a short amount of time and offer a more
intimate environment to communicate.

your tribe.
TRACK B — CannaBusiness: The Business Side of Marijuana
Retail Practices, Insurance , Effective and Responsible Marketing, Packaging & Labeling are all
aspects of running a marijuana business that need to be taken into careful consideration. Hear from
experts who can show you the ropes in each of these areas to create a successful CannaBusiness.
TRACK C — Product Demonstration Sessions
Track C will be made up of vendors looking to educate you on various topics such as: advanced
cultivation techniques, pros and cons of various types of facilities, etc.

Track A: Commercial and Industrial Hemp Cultivation
Hemp is a distinct variety of cannabis and contain less than 1% of
tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive ingredient in
marijuana. It is a tall, slender, fibrous plant similar to flax. Various parts of
the plant can be utilized in making textiles, paper, paints, clothing, plastics,
cosmetics, foods, insulation, animal feed and other products.
Hemp produces a much higher yield per acre than do common substitutes
like cotton and requires few pesticides. In addition, hemp has an average
growing cycle of only 100 days and leaves the soil virtually weed-free for
the next planting. This track will explore the many opportunities available
to your tribe through the cultivation of hemp.

Retail Practices
Hear from experts on what you need in order to plan and execute a
marijuana retail dispensary operation. Learn about the practices and
approaches that have consistently been proven to be successful. What
are the marijuana retail business regulations?

terminology used in marijuana growing.
Track B: Insurance
In this evolving new industry, what are the insurance requirements? How
does a business protect its assets whether a grower or a dispensary?
Making sure you are covered when it comes to Product Liability,
