WOODS™ Shake Oil Treatment absorbs easily into dry & porous wood supplying a rich emulsion of Natural oils, powerful UV Absorbers and mold and mildew fighting Fungicides that beautify, nourish and protect wood shakes and any old porous wood surfaces. One treatment may more than double the life of an untreated roof and restored wood shakes can even outlast the average new installation - with proper maintenance, they can last indefinitely. WOODS™ Shake Oil Treatment is designed to protect your Cedar or Pine shakes yet still leave wood looking natural with an infinite range of semi-transparent tinting possibilities. It's environmentally friendly, non-flammable and has easy soap and water clean up, add to that our easy - wash, dry & reapply - formula for painless maintenance and we think you'll agree it's a smart choice for your family, your planet and your wood. Prepare Surface must be dry and free of contaminants such as TSP, acids, wax, rust, dirt, oil/grease, fungi, mold, etc. Use WOODS™ Exterior Wood Wash to properly clean and condition your wood and follow with WOODS™ Final Wash before staining, if required, to neutralize any acid bleach residue. Applying WOODS™ Final Wash before staining will also block tannins from bleeding through clear finishes and stop water & rust markings. Protect • Apply 2 generous coats of WOODS™ Shake Oil Treatment to clean, dry, wood with a low pressure or airless sprayer, allowing 24-72 hours of drying time between coats. • On walls, work from the bottom up and back-brush excess to avoid runs & drips on untreated wood • On roofs, work from the top down in a 4 to 5 ft swath, run-off into gutters can be cleaned with soap & water • DO NOT APPLY IN DIRECT OVERHEAD SUNLIGHT • DO NOT APPLY TO WET OR HOT WOOD • DO NOT DILUTE Preserve Wash your project every year with clean water and a low pressure sprayer to remove seasonal debris and check finish integrity. When it's time for a maintenance coat, just wash, dry & reapply. Simple.
