center piece etched with

The Small Shopper has a rectangle
woven oak herringbone bottom and
an oval or square top. It’s made of
all natural white oak with a solid
oak single handle. The single
handle makes it a great basket to
carry. Your oak basket will be
made over a mold that will be

Students will insert cane staves
into a cherry base and weave with
cane over a plastic mold. You will
finish off the basket with a chater
cherry rim. All cherry pieces will be
pre-finished. This is a great
introduction to Nantucket style
basketry.
Beautifully finished multi-hardwood
bases with reed in coordinating
colors. Natural reed may be
substituted if you wish. You will
learn a more efficient way to twine
around the base and have the
perfect “safe place” for all your
keys, etc.
Come play in the gourds! Many
colors of variegated threads to
choose from & matching
complimentary beads to finish off
their treasure. Class time will cover
coiling techniques, hand skills and
neatness. Students will also learn
to four braid their prepared small
gourd & variegated 4 ply waxed
threads to create a gourd to wear.

work with round reed and create a
flared shape. Basket is woven with
space dyed reed. The beginner
student will learn how to create a
‘Half Gretchen.’ Intermediate
students will learn the finer points
to shaping a Gretchen rim.

The Indian Arc is an ancient
Cherokee twill design. It is an
irregular 1-3-5 twill. There are
many 3-3 twill rows. Other rows
give one an opportunity to learn
how the 1 and 5 relate in the
design. Base is a herringbone
twill. Handle is 3/8” oval oval. One
will learn how to notch reed to
make a handle.

The Waste basket is a great
addition to any room in your home.
This basket will be made over a
mold that will be provided for the

Large gathering basket with a solid
woven base. Basket uses the
“chicken foot” method in the base.
A choice of accent color and fall
embellishment with ribbon will be
available.
This plate is an original Kathy
Libby design. The wooden plate is
rimmed with a Gretchen border
and is accented with pips and a
rusty bow. A great, easy way to
learn the “retched Gretchen”.

pottery centers, beads, charms,
and colored thread to make it
“uniquely yours”. Techniques to
turn any gem stone, glass button,
cabachon into center pieces for
weaving will be taught. Just bring
your scissors and creative spirit.

Raised stamped sand dollar and
scallop shells surround the hand
thrown pottery bowl. Sweet grass,
is added into the pine needle coils
for the rim, and adds to the coastal
look of this piece. Wood and glass
beads are added to the rim in a
wave-like design, with shells and
turtle charm embellishments.
Scissors is the only tool needed.
This new tray is done in a variety of
colors of waxed cotton cord and
complementing glass beads.
Class time will cover twining
techniques, hand skills, neatness
and tension . . . and fun making
your own Pansy Tray. Pansy is
woven with three sizes of waxed
cotton cord and several sizes of
glass beads.
