VENUE:
The Greensboro Aquatics Center is a 50 meter pool which can be broken into two short
course venues with a separate diving well. This competition will use two 10 lane short
course competition venues with continuous warm-up and cool down lanes available
throughout the meet. The pool depth is 9’-10’ at the start and turn ends and 4” lane lines
will be used to reduce turbulence. The lane width is 7’. A Colorado Timing System 6 with
a Daktronics Pro-Star LED Video Scoreboard Display will display results simultaneously.
Starting platforms are Colorado Competition deck anchored platforms. The competition
course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). A copy of such certification is on
file with USA Swimming.
No outside Food or Drink will be permitted.
No Chairs are permitted. There is a spectator seating area with a capacity of 1850
persons. Spectators are not allowed on the deck at any time. The 650 bleacher seats on
deck are reserved for swimmers only.
VENUE SHOPS
Fine Designs will be selling meet apparel and KAST-A-WAY Swim wear is located near the
main entrance.
Food and drink may be purchased from various Food Carts located throughout the venue.
PARKING
On-site parking is available with re-entry allowed at a rate of $5 per day. Parking for
Coaches and Officials will be provided.
RULES:
This meet will be conducted in accordance with the current USA Swimming Regulations,
NCS Official Handbook and NCS Safety Program, except where rules are therein optional
and exceptions are herein stated.
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in
changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms.
Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is
prohibited.
ELIGIBILITY:
Swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming, Inc. and must have met have met the
following qualifying standards:
12 & Under Age Group
Participants must have at least one “BB” or better time standard in their single age group
but may not enter any event in their age group in which they have achieved the 2015 AG
Sectional qualifying time standard. They may swim that event in the Senior/Open age
group and it does count toward their daily event total.
13-14 Age Group
Participants have no minimum-qualifying standard. 13-14 swimmers may not enter any
event in their age group in which they have achieved the 13-14 the 2015 AG Sectional
qualifying time standard. They may swim that event in the Senior/Open age group and it
does count toward their daily event total.
Senior/Open Age Group
Swimmers of any age may swim in the Senior/Open group regardless of time.
NOTE: No swimmer may exceed the per day or per meet entry limits. 10 & Under
swimmers choosing to swim in a Senior/Open event will be limited to (3) three event limit
for that day.
All swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming, Inc. to participate. Swimmers
without current proof of membership will not swim. THERE WILL BE NO ON DECK
REGISTRATION.
SWIMMERS WITH
DISABILITIES:
Star Aquatics welcomes all swimmers with disabilities as described in the USA Swimming
Rules and Regulations, Article 105, to participate in our meets. Coaches entering
swimmers with disabilities that require any accommodations are required to provide
advance notice in writing to the meet director by the entry deadline accompanying their
meet entry file, including the need for any personal assistants required and/or registered
service animals. Failure to provide advance notice may limit Star's ability to accommodate
all requests.
FORMAT:
There are five (5) sessions in the meet including 10 & Under Timed Finals and 11-12, 1314 and Open Prelim/Finals. Friday will be a timed finals session. Saturday and Sunday
Evening Finals will be as follows:
· 11 year olds will have one (1) heat of finals for each event.

12 year olds will have one (1) heat of finals for each event.
13 year old will have (2) heats of finals (B and A in that order).
14 year old will have (2) heats of finals (B and A in that order).
Senior events will have (3) heats of finals (Consolation, B then A in that order).
All 10 & Under events, the Senior 400 IM, 500 Free, 1650 Free, and all relay events
are timed final events.
· Meet management reserves the right to adjust session start times and limit events
dependent on number of entries received to maintain the timeline.
· Saturday and Sunday morning sessions will run concurrently in two pools. The events
to be swum in each pool will be determined once entries are received.
SEEDING and
POSITIVE CHECK-IN:
The conforming time standard for this meet is short course yards. Swimmers will be
seeded and swim from slowest to fastest unless otherwise indicated. All non-conforming
times will be seeded last in rank order.
The 1650 Free, 500 Free and 400 IM are positive check-in events. Swimmers who do not
check-in by the deadline listed will not be seeded in or allowed to swim the event. A
swimmer who has checked in, been seeded, and fails to complete in said event, shall be
barred from his/her next individual event unless excused by the Meet Referee.
1650 Free
The Senior 1650 Free will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating women and men, with
all heats being swum during the Sunday morning session at the conclusion of the 200
Medley Relays. If the meet is conducted in two pools, it may not be necessary to
alternate. Meet management reserves the right to combine heats (men and women)
and/or limit this event to the fastest three heats in both the women’s and men’s events.
Swimmers must provide lap counters and timers
500 Free and 400 IM
The Senior 500 Free and 400 IM will be swum as timed final events deck-seeded fastest to
slowest. Meet management may use two pools depending on entries. Meet management
reserves the right to combine heats (men and women) and/or limit these events to the
fastest three heats in both women’s and men’s events. Swimmers must provide lap
counters and timers.
ENTRY LIMITS:
Meet:
The meet may be limited to the first 750 swimmers to submit their entries. If you plan to
attend please notify us ([email protected]) with your intent and approximate
number of swimmers.
Individual:
10 & Under swimmers are limited to 10 (ten) individual events for the meet and no more
than 4 (four) events per day.
11-12, 13-14, and Senior Swimmers are limited to a maximum of 3 (three) individual
events per day and 8 (eight) individual events throughout the weekend.
**Meet Management reserves the right to further limit and/or eliminate events to allow
the meet to run in the allotted time.
ENTRIES/ENTRY

Calculate swimmer age as of March 27, 2015.
Submit the entry with best SHORT COURSE YARDS times achieved in a USA
competition or time trial. LONG COURSE METER times will be seeded after all SCY
times. There will be no course conversion.
Submit a Hy-Tek Meet Manager compatible file to [email protected]. A
confirmation email will be returned when they have been received. Entries will
not be loaded until payment has been received.
Complete the attached Meet Entry Form and mail it along with your payment*.
Late on-deck entries will be accepted at the discretion of the meet director and
referee on a first come first serve basis in open lanes only. No swimmers will be
added to the meet. *Double fees will apply and must be paid in cash at the time
of entry. Coaches should complete an “Event Add” form and submit it to the HyTek Admin during warm-ups.
Entry Deadline is 7:00pm Tuesday March 17, 2015.

· Changes to previously submitted entries may be emailed to
[email protected], confirmation email will be sent.
· Entries past the deadline (late entries) will be taken at the discretion of the Meet
Director for double fees and handled on a first come first serve basis.
ENTRY FEES:
Prelim/Final Event: $5.00
Timed Final Event: $3.50
Relay Event: $10.00
Facility Fee: $10.00 per swimmer
NCS Travel Fund: $3.00 per swimmer including relay only swimmers
Double fees will be charged for entries received after 7:00 pm on Tuesday March 17,
2015. All fees are non-refundable. Checks should be made out to STAR Aquatics and must
accompany entries. Meet Management will refund fees in the event individual events are
limited due to time constraints.
RELAYS:
Submit relay scratches and relay names to the Clerk of Course by the end of warm-ups for
each session. Final seeding will be done and posted. All relays will be swum at the end of
the morning session with the exception of the 11-12, 13-14 and Open 200 Free Relays
which will be swum at the beginning of finals on Saturday evening.

A swimmer may scratch a pre-seeded event on the blocks without penalty. Failure to compete in a
deck-seeded or scored evening finals event (for which the swimmer has been announced as having
qualified) will result in the swimmer being barred from the next individual event in which they are
entered, whether it is that day or the next unless excused by the Meet Referee. Swimmers who
qualify for finals and fail to scratch or compete on Sunday night will be fined $25.00 per event. All
fines will be placed in the NCS Travel Fund.

RACING
STARTS
Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be
certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must
start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal
guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
COACH AND
OFFICIAL
CHECK-IN:
In accordance with NC Swimming Rules, coaches and officials are required to display proof of current
USA Swimming Membership at all times.
The North Carolina safety program is in effect for this meet. Coaches are advised to closely supervise
their swimmers at all times. NO Running or horseplay will be tolerated. No spectators will be allowed
on deck.
Coaches are required to sign-in at the Admin table to receive their session heat sheet. Valid
Coaching credentials must be presented. Coaches should keep their credentials visible on deck at
all times.
CLERK OF
COURSE:
There will be no Clerk of Course. Swimmers and coaches should pay close attention to the event in
the water and be prepared.
OFFICIALS:
USA certified and apprentice officials are welcome on deck. There will be a meeting 45 minutes prior
to the start of the sessions for officials. Location will be announced.
HOSPITALITY:
There will be a hospitality room available to coaches and officials.
RELEASE:
USA Swimming, Inc., North Carolina Swimming, Inc., Star Aquatics, LLC, Greensboro Aquatics Center
and all employees and representatives of these organizations shall be held free and harmless from
any and all liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct
of this meet.
