NATIONAL DASHBOARD - SITUATION & CONTROL
Key Indicators of Control
W/C 16th Mar
This week the proportion of EVD cases coming from contact lists has improved to 84% and the
proportion from deaths in the community has slightly increased
(week 12 data for contact tracing not yet available)

NATIONAL DASHBOARD - PROCESS
Are we casting the net widely and getting people into the system
quickly and effectively?
W/C 16th Mar
There are fewer suspect cases being tested for EVD than in early February and the decline in
the number of alerts nationally has continued to fall.
Both of these trends suggest that we are not being effective at finding and getting enough
people into the system.

UK Update
Staffing and support
• RFA Argus will sail at the end of this week after providing six months support to
military and civilian volunteers on the ground: we now have other ways to carry
out its two main roles, providing helicopters and non-Ebola medical care
• UK looking at district transmission levels and reallocating DERC staff to where they
are most needed; roving civilian support team now available in low transmission
districts; rapid response military team available for hotspots
Facilities
• In line with national planning the UK has put its recommendations to Ministers on
facilities; 3 UK-funded ETCs will remain, 2 on stand-by, 1 to close. 25 CCCs
indicated for closure, around 19 to remain. Labs to continue providing diagnostic
capacity.
