The tumbled finish gives it a rustic look that matches up to most of our wall products; the non-tumbled finish gives it a contemporary look and feel. This fire pit’s size makes it an ideal place to sit around with family and friends. This pit can be used for wood-burning fires or fitted for natural gas. TM Installation Tips Foundation Place and compact a level base with gravel extended beyond the base block by at least 4 inches. The surface of the leveling pad should extend below grade by 2 inches. If you are using a concrete paver base, place the fire pit directly onto the base. The 1st Layer of Block Lay your first layer as shown, ensuring blocks fit tightly together, squared, and are aligned properly on your patio. Brush the tops of the blocks clean after each layer has been applied, and apply a thin bead of concrete adhesive on the top of each layer of block. Additional Layers As you lay each additional layer, ensure each block covers the seams of the blocks underneath it. This will ensure stability of the wall. Cap & Insert Dry lay the L-Shaped cap units on top of the fire pit walls. Do not glue the cap units. Ensure the units are laid square and centered on top of the walls. Remove two opposing corners and apply beads of concrete adhesive on the tops of the walls. Set caps into place, press firmly, and repeat for the other caps. Once the caps are secure, the steel inserts can be put in place.
