No Limits Racing No Limits Racing Final Instructions Circuit: Donington Park GP • ACU Permit Number: ACU43476 • PCL: 009GP • Date: 16/17 May 2015 These final instructions are supplementary to the No Limits Racing Supplementary & Technical Regulations. Please ensure that you read and understand this document. 1. Paddock th Thursday (Trackday) – There is no access to the paddock until 07:00 on Thursday 14 May, and this is not a test day. The groups for the day are Novice/Intermediate, Fast 1 and Fast 2. This day is now sold out and there are no spaces left. At the end of the trackday (5pm) any competitors wishing to stay onsite may do so, however you must move all vehicles, machines and equipment out of the garages and park in Paddock 3 (See attached paddock plan). Friday (Coroprate Day) – Access to Paddock 1 or Paddock 2 until instructed by a No Limits Official is strictly prohibited (this is likely to be around 18:00). You are permitted to enter Paddock 3 throughout the day, but please park in the designated lanes. Lane 1 – Garage Holders Only Lane 2 – 2 Stroke GP Riders Only Lane 3 – Non Garage Holders Lane 4 – Non Garage Holders Access to the paddock will be phased and we ask that you please wait patiently. th The paddock will close at 23:00 on Friday 15 May, after which time vehicle movements within the Paddock are strictly prohibited until 06:00 to allow those that have already arrived to sleep. Arrivals between 23:00 and 06:00 will be asked to park in the holding area by the paddock entrance. Generators must be switched off at 23:00 and may not be run until 06:30 the following morning. 2. Pit Lane Pit Lane is a working area and therefore you must ensure you are aware of your surroundings at all times. No Under 16s are allowed in the Pit Lane or on the Pit Wall. There is no smoking in the Pit Lane, Pit Wall or Pit Garages. (This includes E-Cigarettes). Pit Lane operates a one way system at ALL times. Fines or penalties will be applied to a rider or team for any infringement of any of these regulations. Endurance teams will be issued wrist bands for team member access to Pit Lane. The Garage List will remain provisional until 2 days before the meeting, and you must check with Race Administration or an Official in the paddock before unloading into a garage. 3. Parking Please ensure that you park all vehicles within the site sensibly and with consideration for others. The spaces behind garages are reserved for garage holders only. Please do not park living vehicles behind garages. Please note that 2 Stroke GP have a dedicated parking area in the paddock and other riders should not park in that area (See attached paddock parking plan). 4. Behaviour Any unruly behaviour by a rider or his/her entourage will not be tolerated and fines or penalties will be applied to a rider or team for any unruly behaviour. 5. Garage Allocation Garages will be allocated to Endurance Team free of charge with a team entry until the closing date for the event, after which time a garage space is not guaranteed. Sprint Class riders should complete the garage request form for the relevant round available at www.nolimitstrackdays.com, and this form will be live 8 weeks before the round. Garage allocations will be available to download from the website around 1 week before the meeting. 6. Race Administration Race Admin will be located in the Media Suite, this can be accessed via the staircase between garages 14 and 15. If you struggle with stairs, please use the door by garage 1 where you will find a lift to gain access to the first floor. Here you will find: Race Administration, Riders Sign On, Official Notice Boards and general information, when this is not manned please ask an official for assistance. 7. Times for Race Administration Friday: 18:00 – 20:30 Saturday: 07:00 – 20:30 Sunday: 08:00 – 19:00 8. Technical Control Technical control will be located within the technical control bay at the paddock suite end of paddock 2. Please present yourself and your motorcycle ready to race remembering your DOG TAGS. 9. Times for Technical Control Friday: 18:00 – 20:30 Saturday: 07:00 onwards Sunday: 08:00 onwards NO ENGINES MAY NOT BE STARTED BETWEEN 20:00 and 09:00 ON ANY DAY 10. Compulsory Briefings A Compulsory sprint class riders briefing will be held on at 07:45 and a compulsory endurance team briefing at 08:15 in the Paddock Suite. Any rider that misses this briefing will not be allowed to practice. You must bring your Technical Control Card with you to the briefing where you will be able to exchange this for a practice pass (this applies to solo and endurance riders). 11. Riders for all sprint classes only should proceed to the assembly area located at the holding area at the Melbourne Hairpin. It is the rider’s responsibility to be on time for all practices and racing!! For all practice sessions and races you will be directed by the assembly official onto the circuit. For Practice, latecomers will be filtered onto the circuit by the marshals. For Races, latecomers will be held until the war up lap is complete and will be released to the grid where they will be directed to the back of the grid (the rider must not take up his/her original grid position). IF YOU ARE LATE TO THE ASSEMBLY AREA YOU MAY MISS YOUR PRACTICE SESSION OR RACE. THERE WILL BE TANNOY ANNOUNCEMENTS IN THE PADDOCK SO PLEASE LISTEN OUT. Assembly Area (ENDURANCE ONLY) There is no assembly area for the endurance classes, riders should leave their pit garage and proceed onto the circuit via pit lane exit. (This applies for both the practice and race) Circuit Exit (SPRINT ONLY) After the chequered flag for all practice and races riders will leave the track at the Melbourne Hairpin and enter Parc Ferme. Circuit Exit (ENDURANCE ONLY) After the chequered flag for all practice and races riders will complete a full slowing down lap and enter pit lane. Pit Lane Speed Limit Maximum speed limit in Pit Lane is 60 KPH (37 MPH). Speed limits will be enforced and penalties issued. Practice Starts Only after the chequered flag in PRACTICE, each rider may complete a practice start. The practice start zone is off the racing line after Coppice. Penalties will be issued for riders completing practice starts in any other area or at any other time. The practice start zone will be marked with yellow lights/ flags. If you encounter a technical problem please raise your arm and marshals will know to assist you. 17. Flags and Lights The circuit is equipped with Red and Yellow lights which will be used in conjunction with flags – lights and flags have the same validity. 18. Signalling All signalling must be done from the pit wall by authorised personnel only and in an authorised place. 19. Parc Ferme Parc Ferme is located in the dedicated assembly area, after exiting the circuit at Melbourne Hairpin. Riders must remain with their machine for a short period whilst random safety checks are completed. Those competing in the next race must inform the technical officials in Parc Ferme and they will be release, but they must remain in Parc Ferme after their second race. 20. Penalty Box (ENDURANCE ONLY) The penalty box will be located near the entrance of pit lane and will be marked by 4 cones, some penalties are listed below and any penalties incurred will be passed to the team by a No Limits Official. 21. Fuel Fuel will be available at the circuit pumps 24Hrs a day, AUTOMATED CARD PAYMENTS ONLY. Refuelling for Teams must be done with the engine switched off and the bike on a rear stand. 22. Safety Car The Safety Car may be deployed at any time under the direction of the Clerk of The Course. The Safety Car will enter the circuit at Pit Lane. A black board with the letters SC in white will be shown at the start line along with Safety Car Flags at flag marshal posts. In the sprint classes the Safety Car will pick up the race leader however in the endurance race, it may be deployed at any time as stated in the ACU handbook. This will be covered in the compulsory rider briefings. 23. Pit Stops (ENDURANCE ONLY) Everybody responsible for the refuelling procedure, including the person with the fire extinguisher, is obliged to wear a helmet and overalls/leathers. Specific Endurance Class Regulations have been issued. 24. Race Numbers All machines must be equipped with three number boards – one front and one either side of the machine. These must be visible to the public, marshals and officials. The number displayed on the machine, must be the number registered in that class. The number on the front of the machine must be at least 14cm tall and all numbers and backgrounds must conform to the colours listed in the No Limits Technical Regulations. It is in your personal interest that the race numbers are clear and visible. 25. Camping Grass areas are available outside the paddock. All wastewater must be containerised and disposed of off site. Please keep noise to a minimum and generators should be switched off between 23:00 and 06:30. Any unruly behaviour by a rider or his/her entourage will not be tolerated and fines or penalties will be applied to a rider or team for any unruly behaviour. 26. No markings shall be made in any of the pit garages, pit lane or paddock surfaces. Any cables or piping crossing public areas, fire lanes or roadways must be matted or taped down. Any cables or piping not matted or taped down will be removed without prior warning. Damage and Recovery from the circuit. If oil or another substance is likely to involve excessive clean up then the Team or Competitor may be liable for costs incurred by Donington Park. If a vehicle needs to be recovered from the circuit this will be done in a safe and timely manner. If damage occurs to the vehicle during this operation then neither No Limits nor any other person is liable. Tyres and waste oil must not be left at the circuit, the fine is £50. Noise Restrictions Engines may not be started before 09:00. The noise limit is 105dBA measured as per the ACU handbook 2015. All machines must be tested prior to going on to the circuit. Noise Testing (SPRINT ONLY) Noise Testing will take place next to the assembly area at the following times: Saturday Metzeler Newcomer 1000 09:00 – 09:10 No Limits Cup 600 and No Limits Pre Injection 600 09:10 – 09:25 No Limits Cup 1000 and No Limits Pre Injection 750 & 1000 09:25 – 09:40 TSGP 09:40 – 09:55 Metzeler Newcomer 600 09:55 – 10:10 Pirelli Super Series 10:10 – 10:25 Noise Testing (ENDURANCE ONLY) Noise Testing will be completed at pit exit during the following times: Endurance (All Classes) 10:30 – 11:10 Passes All riders will receive tickets for admission to the circuit. Endurance Teams will be issued with 6 wrist bands for Pit Lane/Pit Wall access including riders. Any persons not believed to be performing a working function may be asked to leave the pit lane. Transponders Hired transponders may be collected from Race Administration during sign on. Payment for transponders is £30 CASH ONLY and must be paid upon collection of your transponder. Your CURRENT ACU Road Race Licence must be kept as a security deposit until you return the transponder. Failure to return the transponder by the end of the meeting will result in a £50 fine and the transponder along with the fine must be sent to the No Limits Office by recorded delivery within 3 days of the meeting. Failure to return within this time will mean a further replacement cost of £325 including VAT. Transponders should be returned to Race Administration within 30 minutes of the final race end time. Paddock Transport Paddock Scooters are not permitted under any circumstances. Filming/Photography Other than the taking of still photographs for personal, non-commercial use, filming or photography is not permitted without obtaining prior permission in writing from Donington Park and No Limits Trackdays Ltd. All on-board cameras must be approved in writing by the Clerk of the Course and The Chief Technical Officer by completing a camera form, which can be obtained online or from Race Administration. Penalties Penalties may be issued to riders in breach of the ACU Handbook or Supplementary Regulations for the event as follows: Jump Start/Anticipation of the Start – Ride through penalty/up to 20 second time penalty Failure to clear pit lane when requested – 30 second stop go penalty Speeding in pit lane (First Offence) – Ride through penalty/ 20 second time penalty Speeding in pit lane (Second Offence) – 60 second stop go penalty Speeding in pit lane (Third Offence) – Disqualification Overtaking under Yellow Flags – 60 second stop go penalty Overtaking under Safety Car – 60 second stop go penalty Overtaking the Safety Car – Disqualification Non observance of Black or Black/Orange Flag – 60 second stop go penalty Failure to wear rider identification arm band – 30 second stop go penalty Failure to notify the Clerk of the Course of a conversion within 30 minutes – 60 second stop go penalty Smoking in the Pit Lane or Garages (inc E-Cigarettes) – 60 second stop go penalty st Riders not attending the briefing – Start 1 Race from Back of the Grid Round 3 • Donington Park• Version 1 • 16:30 - 22/04/15 No Limits Racing Rain Light not illuminated when required – 30 second stop go penalty Riding the wrong way along pit lane – 20 second penalty Penalties are not allowed to be taken under safety car conditions. Any other penalty as directed by the Clerk of the Course may be imposed during the race or after it including those listed in the ACU Handbook. The Clerk of the Course may use his/her discretion in all penalty decisions and these are for guideline purposes only. 36. Interpretation The interpretation of any Rules, Regulations, Bulletins, and Final Instructions will rest with the Stewards of the Meeting, whose decision will be final. 37.
