Business Chinese Programme Adult Chinese Learning Programme GST Registration No.: 200511211D Company Registration No.: 200511211D BUSINESS CHINESE PROGRAMME Confucius Institute, NTU (CI-NTU) has been appointed by Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to be approved training organization (CET Centre) for the Chinese Workplace Literacy Programme (CWPL). The Chinese Workplace Literacy Programme (a.k.a Business Chinese) is an internationally recognized certification awarded by the Office Chinese Language Council International (HANBAN) and 70% WDA grant is available to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Course Structure • • • This programme comprises three essential language courses, namely: Listening & Speaking, Reading and Writing. Each course has different progressive levels to cater for different needs which are from beginner, intermediate to advanced. Enrolment is open only to individuals who have attempted the pre-course placement test and have received training recommendation from CI-NTU / or BCT results (if applicable). Besides the above mentioned, Foundation Course is specially designed for beginner with no prerequisite knowledge on the Chinese language or possess a Primary 3 and below Chinese language proficiency. The following flow chart illustrates the various modules you can find in each courses. Pre-course Placement Test • Beginner who has not studied Chinese language before are strongly encouraged to start from Foundation Course • • which is designed to prepare you for the next level (in different courses). Applicant enrolling for the Foundation Course is NOT required to attempt for pre-course placement test for training recommendation. Applicant who has prior knowledge of Chinese language or has taken Chinese course before or wish to enrol into higher level course is required to sit for a pre-course placement test* followed by a consultation with a staff.
