New Zealand Show
Greetings,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome all attendees to the 2015 National New Zealand Show
sponsored by the Illinois New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Specialty Club.
In planning your visit to the event, remember Bloomington, Illinois is the home of the
American Rabbit Breeders Association headquarters. Perhaps you can spend some time before
or after the show weekend to visit and enjoy the Hall of Fame Library. It boasts a very large
collection of rabbit materials second to none in the world. Hours can be spent perusing the
books, rabbit memorabilia, and artifacts that have belonged to some of the founders of the
association.
Not too far from Bloomington is the capital, Springfield, which is full of history and Abraham
Lincoln sites. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is something that will
leave you with thoughts and memories for many years to come. What an excellent stopping
place for those history buffs that may not get to Illinois again.
New Zealand rabbits have a rich history in Illinois with many of the top breeders in the nation.
It is not unusual to find any of the varieties competing for Best In Show, and New Zealands are
one of the top breeds at every show, with the number shown reaching 100 or more.
Illinois also boasts a great Youth New Zealand program, with several young breeders
competing very well at the national level.
The members of the Illinois New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Specialty Club have been working
hard for quite some time to make this one of the most memorable National New Zealand shows
you will ever attend. We aim to please, and should you have any questions, concerns, or need
help of any kind during the event, just look for one of the show staff. It will be our pleasure to
do all we can.
Safe travels to Bloomington, and we are confident you will depart with fond thoughts and
memories of a grand event.

The latest revised rules of the ARBA and AFNZRB will govern the shows. Entering the Show
indicates your acceptance of these rules.
2
Entries must be postmarked on or before March 25th.
3
Entries must indicate the Variety, Class, Sex, and Ear# of each rabbit entered. Ear #’s may be
changed at check–in if necessary.
4
Your Entry must indicate if it is OPEN or YOUTH. Any Entry not specifically marked as YOUTH,
will be assumed to be OPEN. No Entries may be changed after April 5th.
(Emailed changes to your entry will be accepted until April 5th, but none after that date.)

All Rabbits within the McLean County Interstate Center must be prepaid with your Entry and
be assigned a coop.

Rabbit Show Entry fees for both OPEN & YOUTH are $9.00 per Rabbit. Fur Class entries are
$4.00 per Rabbit. Meat Pens and Single Fryers are $9.00 per entry.

Remember to order your Banquet Tickets along with your Show entries on the same form.

Refer to the Show Schedule & Events for a listing of opening and closing of the Facility and for
the closing of the check in procedures.

Parents/Guardians are responsible (at all times)for their actions as well as those of their

Any animals left in the facility after 11:00 AM Sunday, April 12, 2015 will become the
property of the Illinois New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Specialty Club. While every precaution
will be taken to ensure the safety of the Exhibitors and animals, all entries made are at the
Owner’s risk. Show personnel, Judges, Carriers, Show Officials and Staff, and the McLean
County Interstate Center are in no way responsible for the death, threat, or injury of any
animals or Exhibitors.

Absolutely No Smoking, Drinking of Alcoholic Beverages, Playing of Loud Music or Voices,
Abusive Language, Violent Behavior, Weapons of any kind shall be permitted within the
McLean County Interstate Center West Expo building.
