Mari Santiago-Hendren, CPCU, PHR is a Human Resources Team Manager at State Farm ®
Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois.
Mari joined State Farm in 1991 as an Agency Advertising Clerk and moved into several Analyst
positions within the Agency department. In 1995 she became a Personal Lines Underwriter in Illinois
servicing the Chicago Metro State Farm agents. In 1999, Mari became a member of the Human
Resources department where she held roles as an Employment Representative, Employee Relations
Analyst, Executive Development Analyst, HR Representative, HR Supervisor and is currently an HR
Services Team Manager.
Prior to working for State Farm, Mari worked as a Sales Manager for Elizabeth Arden in Indianapolis,
IN and as a Copywriter for MBM Advertising Agency in San Juan, PR.
Mari has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Puerto Rico and attended
Illinois State University as part of their Foreign Exchange Student Program. She earned the
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation in 2002, the Chartered Property Casualty
Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2006, completed the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
designation in 2015 and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.
Mari and her husband, Byron, reside in Bloomington, Illinois with their three children, Bryce, Beau
and Brianna.
