The Lyric Theatre and The abbey Theatre the shadow of a gunman 3 May — 6 June …what danger can there be in being the shadow of a gunman? In Sean O’Casey’s vibrant and poignant classic comedy, Donal Davoren wrestles with his poetry as he struggles to find peace in a crowded Dublin tenement. Donal’s neighbours believe he is a gunman on the run. The way Minnie Powell looks at him encourages him to play along. However, when the city is placed under curfew, his fantasy starts to feel uncomfortably real.
