Rules and Regulations
1> Painting : Colours of life
 Only Paper and board will be provided on the spot.
 Participants should bring their colour, pencil and other essential materials.
 Topic will be disclosed on day of the competition.
 2 and half Hours are allotted to complete their work
2> Drama (From page to stage):
 Theme- Socio-Economic
 The team shall consist of maximum of 8 members and a minimum of 4
members. + 2 instrumentals (Optional).
 The time limit should be adhered to 9 mins (entry to exit). In case of
violation, participants will be penalized by judges.
 An instance of vulgarity/ disturbing content of any order will lead to
forceful halt of performance and immediate disqualification.
 Teams are free to perform on any script as chosen by them.
 Use of fir/water/smoke machines is not permitted.
3> Short film (Silver Screen):
 Your short film cannot exceed 10 minutes (including credits).
 You have to make submissions before 30th of March by sending us a DVD
copy or you can submit to us by bringing your movie in a portable USB
device.
 Your movie could be based on any genre, but it should not contain scenes
of vulgarity, raw violence (gore), or it must not make unnecessary use of
profanity.
 Your team must not have more than five participants for the event.
 You can submit your movie in any of the three languages: English, Hindi,
Bengali.
 English subtitle is must.
 You can submit your movie in any format (though .avi and .mp4 are mostly
desirable/preferable).
4.a> DANCE COMPETITION (Adavu & Grazioso Ballerina):
Classical / Semi Classical SOLO (Adavu):
 The time limit should be 5 mins + 1min for setup (if needed any). In case of
violation, it will be discredit of the participant.
 All classical, Indian folk, Indian traditional dance forms are allowed
 An instance of vulgarity/ disturbing content of any order will lead to
forceful halt of performance and immediate disqualification.
 Props, costumes and others (needed for the performance) must be
brought by the participant #
 Use of fir/water/smoke machines/animals is not permitted.
 Judges' and coordinators' decision is final and all abiding
Western SOLO (Grazioso Ballerina):
 The time limit should be 5 mins + 1min for setup (if needed any). In case of
violation, it will be discredit of the participants.
 Dance forms like Bollywood , contemporary, jazz, breaking, hip-hop,
locking , popping, krumping , etc (western dance forms) are allowed.
 The final round shall be a faceoff challenge / dance battle depending on
the finalists.


4.b> Group Dance(Dancing Constellation):
1. Time limit is 5 mins
2. Maximum 16 participants
5.a> Solo classical or western music (Music Crescendo & Sargam):
SINGING :
 For singing competition SINGERS are allowed to have MAXIMUM
TWO HANDS with them.
 If the singer himself is going to play an Instrument then Only ONE
HAND is allowed with singer.
 Singers can use any kind of instruments.
 Authority is not going to provide any kind of instruments...singers
have to carry their own instruments.
 Only one song per participant and the time limit should not exceed
4mins.
N.B- JUDGEMENT will be given by expert judges....
5.b> Band Competition (Band Fiesta):
 Time limit is 5 mins+5 mins for setting
 Maximum 6 to 8 people
5.C > Instrumental (Symphony orchestra)
 Time limit is 5mints (Solo) (Any Instrument)
6> Photography (Le temps arrest):
 Theme- College(NiT)
 On spot submission. Computer and any other software generated
manipulation are not allowed except cropping, brightness, and contrast
setting and minor colour adjustments.
 An Ms Word (.doc) file must be accompanied with each photograph with
the following details it 1. Participant’s Name 2. Email ID 3. Contact
number 4. Camera Model 5. Technical Specifications 6. Software used for
editing (if applicable) 7. Caption for the photograph 8. An “Abstract” about
the photograph describing (in not more than 50 words) the abstract
meaning of the photograph (if any).
 Each participant can submit at most 3(three) photos (soft copy).
 HDR and panorama are not allowed.
 Participants should bring their college identity card.
 Decision of the judges and the organizers will be final and binding (This is
also applicable regarding photo selection and exhibition).
 Rules can be changed without prior notification.
Recitation (SINGING POESY):
 Time limit should be 5 mins, (any topic)
 Languages- Bengali, Hindi, English.
Poster making:
 Time limit is 1 hour(on environmental issues)
Creative Writing:
 Time limit is 1 hour
 Topic will be given on spot.
Fun Events:
Face Painting:
 Participants will have to bring their own colour.
T-Shirt painting:
 Participants will have to bring their own colour and plain T-Shirt.
 If any kind of pre-drawn figures are found on the T-shirt, participant will be
disqualified.
