TERMS & CONDITIONS:1. The tenders should be addressed to Dean P&D, NIT Srinagar which must reach his office on or before 22-052015 by Speed Post/Courier up to 3.00 P.M.
2. The tenders shall be opened on the same day and times in presence of contractors who wish to be present.
3. The Tender documents will be available on the NIT website “www.nitsri.net” w.e.f 18-05-15. The cost of
downloaded tender document as shown above in the table should be credited into NIT chest bearing
A/C No: 039101010000106.
4. The Contractor has to submit his documents in main envelope containing two additional envelopes, as
Envelope ‘A’ and Envelope ‘B’. The main envelope should clearly indicate the name of the Contractor
and the name of the work for which tender is being submitted. The Envelope ‘A’ and Envelope ‘B’ should
contain the details as given below and on each envelope cover should clearly indicate the name of the
contractor and details of matter inside the envelope:
Envelope ‘A’ i) Copy of valid enlistment card ii) Sales Tax registration, Tin number
iii) CDR of amount shown against the Work Pledged to Executive Engineer NIT Srinagar.
iv) PAN No. v) Receipt of Cost of Tender Document.
Envelope ‘B’ schedule of items with quoted percentage covered with transparent tape.
5. The envelope ‘B’ will be entertained only if the contractor qualifies the pre-requisite condition on the basis of the
documents provided in Envelope ‘A’.
6. In case the last date of receipt of tenders happens to be a holiday, tenders will be received on next working day up
to 12 Noon.
7. CDRs prepared for NIT No.02 of 2015 advertised previously shall remain valid for this NIT as well

Terms & Conditions:1. The acceptance of the tenders rests with the competent authority who does not bind himself with
the obligation or accepting the lowest tender which is not reasonable as a whole or a part thereof.
2. The competent authority may reject all such tenders which may be considered very low or high
compared to the prevalent market rates.
3. As soon as the acceptance of the tender is communicated to the successful tender, the contractor
shall be deemed to have come into effect in his favour. A formal deed incorporating the terms of the
contract will be executed by such a tenderer later on. However, the failure to do so shall not prevent
the contract from being enforced against him.
4. The Civil Stage 2015 -2016 shall remain in force till 31st of March 2016.
5. The contractor shall have to arrange Material like cement, iron on his own and its entry to main gate
is essential.
6. In case the stage contractor fails to execute the work or part thereof, the work will be done through
some other agency and excess cost incurred shall be recovered from the original stage contractor.
7. The contractor is responsible and bound to make timely payments to the laborers engaged by him. If
any complaint is made by the labourers Association, all the liabilities to this effect shall be deduced
from the payments that may be due to the contractor.
8. If the O/C Estates is not satisfied with the progress of the work, he reserves the right of introducing
another agency or contract for taking up other jobs of the civil stage. Furthermore, if the contractor
does not attend the works allotted to him for execution, the stage contract is liable for cancellation.
9. Sub-letting of Stage contract in part or in full is totally prohibited.
10. Subsequent modification if any DSR 2014 shall be enforced upon the stage contract 2015 -2016.
11. In case of any dispute arising during the course of Stage Contract, the decision of competent
authority shall be final, conclusive and binding upon the stage contractor in Toto. No arbitration in
this regard shall be acceptable to the Institute.
12. Whether competent authority appears above shall be deemed as the Director, National Institute of
Technology, Srinagar.
13. Individual work shall not exceed Rs.5,00,000 & time limit of individual work shall be as under
i) For the work of up to Rs 1,00 ,000
