The New Jersey Autism Center of Excellence Coordinating Center at Montclair State University (NJ ACE CC MSU) needs volunteers for the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2). When: J uly 7, 2015 and J uly 8, 2015 Where: Montclair State Univer sity, Univer sity Hall, Confer ence Room 4116 Time: 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Volunteers: On July 7, 2015 we need an individual who is a child/ adolescent/ adult with more complex language. The volunteer will be able to speak in full sentences with the ability to talk about things not present. On July 8, 2015 we need a child/ adolescent who is pre-verbal or speaks in short phrases. Benefits of being a volunteer? After your child’s evaluation, the seasoned trainer from the Center for Autism and Developing Brain (CADB) will share briefly her observations with parents/ gaurdians. You will help clinicians start their certification process to administer the ADOS-2. We know that your time is important and we acknowledge that with a $75.00 VISA card. What is the ADOS-2? The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule is a standardized observation designed to assess behaviors related to autism or autistic spectrum disorders.
