1) Follow the guidelines of the University scrupulously.
2) Verify the form completely i.e. Name, Date of Birth, Address, Tel. No. Caste, signature of
Parent/Guardian, Students, Annual Income of Guardian, Native Place & Original Caste Certificate if
applicable.
3) For minority students check the mother tongue of the students & ask to submit the affidavit at F.Y.
Level.

5) Eligibility Cases : Candidates from outside Maharashtra State, applying for admission, are required
to submit ‘Provisional Statement of Eligibility’ from Mumbai University for the academic year
2015-16 only. Without Eligibility certificates their form should not be considered for Merit
List.Eligibility Certificate issued for the academic year prior 2013-14 should not be accepted.
6) a) If the student is from ‘out of Maharashtra State’ he is not entitled to any freeship /scholarship.
b) The remark given in the caste certificate about freeship / scholarship of the candidate should be
carefully seen and strictly followed.
7) Freeship / Scholarship cases :a) If the student is not having original caste certificate at the time of admission he/she should submit
the xerox copy of slip issued by competent authority for issue of caste certificate and the
undertaking from parents for submission of caste certificate within 7 days.
b) Complete the process with required documents for freeship/scholarship.
c) Primary Teacher’s/Secondary Teacher’s/Non-Teaching Staff ward should submit his/her parent’s
employment certificate and Ration Card (attested copy). Student should not be the third child as
he/she is not eligible for concession.
d) For EBC concession, Income Certificate of Tahasildar’s Office is required and Parent’s income
should be below Rs.1,00,000/- per annum.
e) For Physically Handicapped Concession, a student must be more than 40% handicapped and the
same should be certified by a Civil Surgeon.
f) For Ex-Servicemen/Freedom Fighter concession, check his/ her Parent’s Identity Card and take
one attested copy.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION FOR
FYBMS/F.Y.B.Com. (Banking & Insurance) and F.Y.B.Sc.(IT)
A) F.Y.B.M.S. :
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the B.M.S. Degree Course shall have
passed H.S.C. examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its
equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years
duration after S.S.C, conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its
equivalent examination by securing minimum 45% marks for General Category (in one
attempt) at the respective examination and minimum 40% marks for the Reserved Category (in
one attempt).
B) F.Y.B.Com. (Banking & Insurance)
Candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Banking &
Insurance) Degree Course shall have passed H.S.C. examination of the Maharashtra Board of
Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secure not less than 45% marks (Open
Category) or not less than 40% marks (Reserved Category) in the aggregate at first attempt.
C) F.Y.B.Sc.(IT)
1) Candidate passed H.S.C. with mathematics as one of the subjects and securing not
less than 45% (Open Category) or not less than 40% (Reserved Category) in the
aggregate at first attempt.
2) Candidate who have passed Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science /
Computer Technology / Information Technology / Electrical, Electronics & Video
Engineering and Allied Branches / Mechanical and Allied Branches / Civil and Allied
Branches of Engineering after S.S.C. are eligible for direct admission to the Second
Year of B.Sc.(IT) Course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board
of Technical Education of any recognized Government Body.
Minimum marks
required 45% aggregate for Open Category and 40% aggregate for Reserved
Category.
