COURSE
MAP
RACE
Cyclists will start individually every 30 seconds within their category.
JUNIORS
Key USAC rule that applies to Juniors:
1I4. Youth/Junior Gears. The maximum chain gear ratio for Junior riders is based on age and discipline. Blocked gears will be allowed, except in National Championships or selection events for international competition. All tests for compliance shall be done using the "roll-‐out method.” There is no restriction for cyclo-‐cross or MTB races. (a) For road and track the limits are: 6-‐18: 7.93 meters (26’)(52x14). This means: (1) All Junior riders must report to the packet pickup tent at 7:30 a.m. for rollout. Juniors are restricted to gears resulting in a rollout no larger than 26”. A maximum gear combination of 52x14 or 53x15 will typically satisfy the requirement. (2) For Junior riders 14 & Under, only regular mass-‐start-‐legal road bikes are allowed. In other words, no aero bars are allowed and bicycle wheels must have at least 16 spokes.
