The Convex Panel
The Nordgröna Convex is a high-class sound absorber made from
natural, hand-picked Scandinavian Reindeer Moss.
The convex form of the panel allows for a full and distinct shape,
while enabling the absorption of sound waves from multiple
directions.
The panel retains its colors, is fire-proof, absorbs & releases
humidity to remain soft, and completely maintenance-free. Like all
our Reindeer Moss panels, the Nordgröna Convex is handmade,
natural and made in Sweden.

The Nordgröna Convex is a natural sound absorber with a positive impact on the environment of living and working spaces. The natural structure of the
Reindeer Moss is optimal for absorbing sound waves, whilst its convex form allows for reaching sound waves from multiple directions. The Reindeer
Moss is hygroscopic, thus absorbing, holding, as well as releasing humidity to maintain its softness. A hard and dry Reindeer Moss structure indicates an
ambient humidity below normal conditions, while a soft panel indicates humidity at normal levels.
The Reindeer Moss is preserved in a salt solution, with added natural color pigments. The preservation keeps the panel durable, fire-proof, and
maintenance-free. The panel does not need to be replaced, or cared for over time.
All our Reindeer Moss is handpicked in a 15,000 square kilometer area in Norway. In order to minimize natural disturbance, the Reindeer Moss is picked
only in patches. This handpicking technique mimics how Reindeer themselves graze the moss, which facilitates natural regrowth. Each area is visited
only once every ~6 years whilst following yearly reapproved quality management & environmental certifications ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
With the Reindeer Moss from Norway, made into panels in Sweden, all Nordgröna panels are handpicked, handmade, and completely Scandinavian.

A high reverberation time is the most common acoustic
problem interior designers and architects face today.
Modern architecture favors rectangular spaces, and
hard and flat surfaces, which can cause excessive
reverberation times and irritating echoes.
In collaboration with Lund University’s faculty of
Engineering (LTH), Nordgröna has developed a highly
effective sound absorber, absorbing up to twice as much
as the industry average for products of same size and
thickness. Among the advantages are the Reindeer
Moss’s ideal natural cell structure, it’s inner density
distribution and convex shape, enabling improved
absorption from multiple angles.
