Lund University Student Unions' Association will present their role and involvement
in safeguarding the students’ rights at all levels of decision-making within the University's

The Student Experience coordinator gives a picture of the services Lund offers new international
students
11:30 – 12.30 Session – Engage the students in the multinational Classroom
LU teachers Henrik Norinder and Björn Fritz will elaborate on the challenges they face as
educators by presenting their work in the multicultural eller international classroom.

a. Academic practice and behavior
Ladaea Rylander, Student Support. How to adjust to a new learning environment, with new
implicit and explicit academic rules and structures.
b. A new everyday life, a new reality
Jan Kjellström, Student Chaplain, and Ulrika Linse Strömland and Åsa Probert, Student
Health. What happens to students when they find themselves in a totally new setting, and how
can the university at large support them?

Karin Frydenlund, head of International Office, Faculty of Medicine.
Karin will present a new system developed for students in educations with little or no history of
organized international experience, to be aware of the different possibilities to engage, and to
formally recognize their achievements.

Offering alternatives for semester exchange programmes, such as short term and internship
