Dear Community Leader,
I’m pleased to announce that the 10th Annual Greater Norfolk Mayor’s Leadership Prayer
Breakfast will be held Wednesday, April 2nd at the Divots Conference (DeVent) Center here in
Norfolk. My purpose in writing is to invite you and your co-workers to join me at this year’s
breakfast which will focus on providing hope and spiritual encouragement to our community.
Over the past 10 years we, as a community, have gathered during Easter week to pray and ask
God’s blessing on our community. Each of the past events has also featured wonderful music and
a significant speaker who has challenged and inspired us.
I’m delighted to announce that we will have a very accomplished and articulate speaker with us
again this year, Lee Truax, President & CEO of CBMC, Inc. Lee Truax is a 22 year business
veteran of the technology sector with special emphasis in personal computer networking. His
exemplary skills afforded him the privilege of working for technology leaders such as Compaq
Computers, Hewlett Packard and Advance Micro Devices specializing in enterprise systems and
solutions. For the past five years, Lee has led CBMC, Inc. whose mission is marketplace ministry
in over 700 communities here in the US.
I'm also excited to announce that Nashville recording artist Jill Miller will be joining us also!
So, please join me and invite your staff, associates and family to attend with you. Breakfast will
begin at 6 AM (doors open at 5:30 AM) and the cost will be $27 per person in advance ($30 at
the door). Students can join us for $15 per person. Corporate or group tables of 10 can be
purchased for $250 per table of ten.
Individual reservations and corporate table reservations are processed in the order received.
Please return the enclosed order form and your check to my office at your earliest
convenience as another large crowd is expected.
Every year seems to bring new community challenges and this year is no different. Now is the
right time to again come together and ask God for His help in providing wisdom and direction for
our city.
I hope you will join me for what I believe will be a truly inspiring morning.
Sincerely,
Mayor Sue Fuchtman, City of Norfolk
