The Planes could be heard as well as seen. The event
was a great success. We had Pilots and their families
arriving from Friday afternoon onwards, coming
from as far as Albany and Bunbury. We also had
local Pilots from Pemberton, Bridgetown and Northcliffe. The Planes came in an amazing array of sizes,
colours and noise levels. There was the odd crash or
two and we witnessed over 4 WWII fighter planes in
the air at the same time. The FPV Drone and the Flying Boat were crowd pleasers but there always has to
be a crowd stopper and that was the massive 1/3
scale SuperXtra aerobatic aircraft. The Jet fired up
and taxied around but due to the high fire danger and
unfavourable wind direction the crowd had to be
satisfied with the sound and smell of a real Jet. The
stories were running thick and fast of full sized and
RC planes. The community support for this event
was great with thanks going to Bannister Downs
Dairy, the Northcliffe Community Resource Centre,
Visitor Centre, District High School, Golf and Soccer Clubs. Food from our local baker and Fox Bros
Butcher was very tasty.

the great sounds of
the old school petrol engine and good
flying.
Many thanks go to all the locals who came to view
and support this event. Put it on your Calendar for
next year.
