Step Up Day Step up Day is an opportunity that allows students to meet their assigned teacher for the 2015-2016 school year. The students will spend 30 minutes with their upcoming teacher. 5th grade students will spend the 30 minutes with their kindergarten teacher. Students will bring home a welcome letter from the teacher for their parents. We will hold Step Up Day for track 1 on June 1 at 8 am and for tracks 2,3&4 on June 29 at 8 am. Principal’s May Newsletter 2015 Page 2 Teacher Requests North Forest Pines does not accept parent requests for specific teachers. This has been our policy since the school opened in 2007. Parents may submit a letter to the principal describing their child’s learning style or a teaching style that best meets their child’s learning needs. Our goal at NFP is to establish healthy and balanced classrooms. Class assignments are finalized by the principal. Teachers have little control over your child’s assignment for the next school year. Please be mindful that siblings are not guaranteed to have the same teachers. Thank you in advance for respecting the class assignment process. Field Day Fun Join us for some active fun! Each class will participate in structured activities and games. This year field day will be held in the bus loop.
