North Junior High Announcements Wednesday May 27, 2015 From the Nurse: Students if you have routine or back up medicines or emergency medicines kept in the nurse's office be sure you or a parent collects them before the school year end. Viking Trek: Today is the day! You can still register!! Come join in the fun! Bring your family and friends! The Viking Trek is a fundraiser for North and a great opportunity to celebrate the end of the school year with the North community. Registration forms are in the Main Office or from the North website at http://north.school.boiseschools.org . Come out and support your North Vikings! Track: Attention all track athletes!!! REMEMBER those nice new uniforms that you wore this year? Well North supported us in buying them so we need to support North back and sign up for the VIKING TREK like you all agreed to do. It is our responsibility to uphold our end of the deal and right now we have only a handful of track athletes holding true to the deal. Please do your part, hold true to your word, and get your paperwork in for the VIKING TREK. If you need the paper for it you can find one in the main office or in Miller's office. DO YOUR PART!!!! Sports Physicals: If you are a current 8th grade student and plan to play sports, you will need a new physical exam for next year! You can get this done on Thursday, June 4th at BSU’s CavenWilliams Fieldhouse (indoor practice facility) for only $20.00. Boys may attend anytime in the afternoon from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. and girls can go anytime in the evening between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Boise High Swim Team: Attention all North 8th graders. The Boise High School swim team will be holding tryouts for the 2015 season on August 10th at the downtown YMCA. Anyone who is interested in trying out for the team should contact Coach Erwin. His contact information is on the Boise High School website under athletics. Come join and be a part of Boise High's most successful sports team. National Junior Honor Society: Attention all National Jr. Honor Society members! Your service hour verification is due THIS THURSDAY by 3pm. Please turn in your completed sheets to Ms. Richmond or Ms. Caughlin as soon as possible and thank you for all you've done for the school and community this year! If you would like to sign up for online classes through IDLA, you have until Tuesday, June 2nd. Please see your counselor for more information. Cross Country: Any incoming freshman interested in running crosscountry in the Fall for Boise High School, should attend a meeting on Thursday at lunch, in the gymnasium. The meeting will take only a few minutes, and will cover summer training, 2015 race schedule, and mandatory paperwork. Basketball: Boise High Boys' Basketball is having open gym this Thursday from 56:30pm in the new gym for those interested in playing summer basketball.
