Mr. Yousef Khaled Al-Marzook
General Manager – NoufEXPO
For the second consecutive year, and after the success of
the 1st E-Government Forum, NoufEXPO is organizing the
“2nd E-Government Forum:
Future Trends of Government
Datacenters” in cooperation with the Central Agency for
Information Technology (CAIT). As part of its main responsibility,
CAIT is leading the development and deployment of the e-government programs of the
State of Kuwait. CAIT is carrying out this effort in collaboration with other government
agencies driven by the required joint efforts required to develop the integrated government
electronic services. This year, the Scientific Committee of the Forum decided to focus on
the all the technological and operational trends that are continuously shaping current
and future government datacenters. These are, by far, considered the main production
workshops of the government electronic services. Therefore, they should be undergoing
continuous development to endorse new technologies that help them meet their mission.
Today, the concepts of corporate social responsibility (CSR) are common among most
commercial institutions. NoufEXPO - a member of Khalid Yousuf Al-Marzouq & Sons
Group of Companies – is proud to follow Al-Marzouq Group heritage since inception.
Information technology is playing a major role in the development of today’s societies
and their institutions. Therefore, our support of the E-Government Programs enforces our
corporate social responsibility principles. These are the same principles driving Al-Marzouq
Group initiatives and projects in the other fields of press, media, real estate, and financial
institutions. Notably, in this regard, we highlight the Sabah Al-Ahmad sea city at Al-Khiran
which is considered our flagship project featuring a fully integrated modern futuristic city
in Kuwait and for Kuwait.
We are confident that the 2nd E-Government Forum will achieve its objectives through
the various researches, studies, products, and services that shall be showcased by industry
specialists, researchers, and global companies. I would like to thank them all and welcome,
at the same time the visitors who flew over to be with us today in Kuwait. A special word of
thanks goes to Mr. Abdullateef Suraei Al-Suraei, the Director General of the Central Agency
for Information Technology, for his continued support and vital role as the head of supreme
organizing committee.
