What’s Happening?
Jeremy & Stephanie Lamour ICI
Jeremy and Stephanie oversee the 11-14 year old students who come to ICI. They are not from a
church background, and most are considered “at risk” (broken homes, poor schools, low income
families, exposure to violence). Our goal is to introduce them to Christ and his word, in order that
they may become followers of him, growing believers, who become part of a local church.
Praise points:- One of our former students,"Omar," delivered a mini-sermon at our church's
youth service. We continue to be excited to see the growth in Jeremy's main mentee, "Peter,"
who has recently stated that he wants to study Communications at Moody College. A LOT of new
kids are coming and staying involved at club to the point where we're averaging around 50 kids
each week. Please continue to pray for relationships to be built with all our students and the
power of the gospel to change lives.
Prayer points:- Pray for a family that is in need of finances for a home. Pray for one of the 7th
grade boys who is being discipled and currently has some struggles. We hope he will be part of
our discipleship program this summer. Please also pray for Joe, a former student who is now an
intern of ICI and will be attending Moody
this autumn to study Youth Ministry.
The next corporate prayer meeting will be on Thursday 21st May at 7:30pm. This will be
held at Brimble hill school (SN25 2NB). The easiest car park is off Tadpole lane but you
can also park in the Isambard carpark and walk through.
We have two courses coming up this month:Discovering NSBC is for anyone who wants to find out more about the church and have a
chance to ask any questions you may have. It will run on Saturday 16th May from
9:30am-1pm at Fraser’s home (15 smart close) it will include a light lunch. To sign up
please use the sign up sheet at the back of the hall or speak to Fraser.
Baptismal course. This is for anyone contemplating baptism or who just wants to find
out what baptism means. Taking the course does not mean you have to be baptised at the
end. This course will run on two consecutive Sundays 10th & 17th May at Fraser’s home
from 4:30-5:45pm. Again please sign up at the back of the hall or see Fraser.
Growth groups continue on Thursdays at 7:30pm. Please see one of the Elders if you
would like to join one of these groups.
Don’t forget the weekly prayer times on Wednesday’s at 6:30am and 12:30 lunchtime.
