Meeting with Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation
A delegation of SCA (NSW) Directors met last week with the Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation,
Victor Dominello, MP. We were given an excellent opportunity to discuss the new strata laws with the
Minister who has promised one further round of consultation before the final Bill is put before NSW
Parliament.
The timetable for this will likely see a draft exposure Bill released to the public in the next couple of months,
followed by time for submissions, then the Bill will be finalised and into Parliament in the second half of
2015.
The bill may be operational around July 2016.

The SCA (NSW) Board is calling an EGM to enable it to put two special resolutions to the Strata Manager and
Strata Services membership as per the Notice of Business.
The EGM will take place prior to the Golf Day on Friday, 15th May 2015 at 7.30am at Kogarah Golf Club, 18
Marsh Street Arncliff.

New Level 3 Accreditation - apply now
SCA (NSW) is now offering eligible members the opportunity to apply for Level 3 accreditation. This is an
excellent way of standing out from the crowd. Gaining any level of accreditation demonstrates to your
stakeholders that you are a professional in your field.
You have until 20 April 2016 only to seek Level 3 Accreditation based on certain criteria. After this date, to
apply for Level 3 Accreditation, you must have been a licensed strata manager in NSW for a minimum of five
years, have not had any disciplinary action taken against you as a member of SCA (NSW) and completed a
Diploma in Strata Management. No consideration of degree qualifications or experience as a licensee-incharge will be considered.
