Fellow shooters and guests:
It is again my pleasure this year to welcome all of our new and returning shooters to the
NYSATA home grounds in Cicero, NY for the 2015 shooting season. Our Board, staff and
volunteers continue to put forth their best efforts to make this one of the best places to
shoot and to ensure everyone’s stay is a memorable one.
We have made great strides over the years to be the most shooter friendly association
and provide you with the best targets possible. This is evident with our increased attendance
and the great scores being posted. We will continue to work hard for you, our shooters.
While you are attending shoots in Cicero, consider taking some extra time to
experience some of the area attractions. Our fine dining restaurants, many golf courses,
sightseeing in the Thousand Islands and Turning Stone Casino provide many enjoyable
opportunities.
I would like to extend a thank you to the outpouring of support from the shooters,
clubs and businesses who donated monies for the purchase of the new scorekeeper chairs.
This will be a tremendous asset and improvement to our grounds. Thank you also to
Giacomo Sporting USA, Inc. for their joint effort with the NYSATA to bring you this year’s
Perazzi Challenge Handicap.
I would also like to thank Bonnie Whalen for returning to our trophy counter and to
Vince Valois for returning as our trap mechanic. Thank you both for all your hard work and
efforts.
The State Awards will again be presented on Saturday afternoon/evening upon the
completion of the Championship Singles event, prior to shoot-offs, while results are being
tabulated. Take notice that the HOA will begin on Wednesday and events have been moved
around as such.
Thank you all for attending and we look forward to seeing you on the shooting line.

GENERAL INFORMATION
All ATA rules and regulations will be strictly enforced. Shoot management insists on
safe gun handling at all times. No closed actions are allowed except in the gun rack or
on the firing line. Violators subject themselves to immediate disqualification, without
recourse and dismissal from the grounds. NYS Law requires Sub-Junior shooters
to be a minimum of 12 years old.
Banks are not rotated. Squad 1 will start on Bank 1. Each bank will have a limited
number of squads assigned to it. When a bank is full, it is FULL. Additional squads will
only be opened by shoot management, when it is determined that available squads
have been filled. Shooters who prefer a specific bank, squad, or shooting time are
urged to presquad using Presquad.com or the entry sheet in the back of the program.
All available squads for each bank will be opened for each event. Presquad early for
the best selection. Additional squads will be reserved on Bank #4 for our chair
shooters. These will be posted on our website with reservation instructions. There will
be a $10.00 re-squadding fee for all who re-squad after the bank assignments have
been posted.
Targets shall be reset only after a member of the shoot committee or the target
setting committee has come to the trap to review the targets.
The management reserves the right to reject any entry and/or to change the program
or plan of shooting in case weather, attendance, or other factors make it advisable.
The only checks that will be accepted are U.S. checks made payable to the New York
State ATA for the exact amount of your entry.
Shooters must check in with squad hustlers prior to shooting. Missed Squad Penalty:
Any shooter missing his/her squad and desiring to re-enter the event shall pay a
$10.00 penalty. Make-ups: A maximum of 50 targets can be made up per event. If
you miss your squad for more than 50 targets, you must be re-squadded. Shooters
needing a make-up will report to the practice trap immediately and check in with the
attendant.
No shooter will be called to the line. The squad will start after waiting one minute. It is
the shooter’s responsibility to check the bulletin board to make sure that his or her
category, money options, scores and totals are posted correctly before leaving the
grounds. Also, he/she is responsible for the posting of his/her sub-event scores, for
accuracy in amount and sequence. It is the shooter’s responsibility to notify the
cashier at once in the event of error. Once the options are figured there will be no
changes unless the cashier has made the error.
Shoot-offs: Twenty-five targets for singles and ten pair for doubles. A contestants
failure to report after 1st, 2nd and 3rd call forfeits all rights to their respective shoot-off.
Squadding: Entries for all events will open at 9:00 AM Tuesday July 7th. Once an
entry is paid for, there will be no changes or refunds allowed. (Wheelchair bank
accessible for presquadding.)
All singles events will be 50 targets per trap, two traps per bank. Tuesday, 8 banks will
be available. Wednesday thru Sunday all 12 banks will be used. All doubles events
will be shot 100 targets per trap. Tuesday thru Sunday 12 traps will be available. Trap
banks will be numbered from east to west. We will have 3 traps setup for practice and
make up shoots during the shoot. Banks to be adjusted as necessary by shoot
management.
Nominations for ATA Delegate and Alternates will be made in writing. The nominations
must be signed by two (2) ATA members and include their ATA membership numbers
and club affiliation, if any. Nominations will be accepted at a table near the trophy
display between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 10th.
In order to vote you must present your ATA Current Average Card, sign a registration
book and record your ATA membership number beside your name. Voting will take
place from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM. The Board of Directors meeting will be held at
12:00 Noon.

CONTRIBUTIONS
FOR THE NEW YORK STATE HOME GROUNDS
FOR 2014
We, the Officers and Directors of the New York State Amateur Trapshooting
Association, want to thank all of the people who attended the Empire Grand, 153 rd NYS
Shoot, Eastern Zone Championships, and the Northeastern Grand and especially those
who donated labor, equipment, cash and materials.
We would like to say thanks to Wayne & Joyce Morris for their help in classifications
and shoot offs. They were a great help for all four shoots at the home grounds. Larry
and Joann Grenevicki did a great job and were a great help with making NYSATA a
shooter friendly organization.
Thank you also, to all those who work so hard to make our shoots successful. With
Bonnie at the trophy counter, Vince keeping our trap line running, and all of our trap
personnel out there scoring and loading the houses, your efforts are greatly
appreciated.
With our sometimes challenging weather conditions and circumstances, we were able
to complete all shoots because of your help and that of many others as well. There are
far too many others to name individually with the possibility of missing someone.
A sincere thanks .............
The Officers and Directors

printed in this program.
Trophies: No shooter may win more than one trophy in any one event in his or her
zone. However, it is possible to win a championship and an individual zone trophy. All
trophies are NYS Resident trophies. All popular makes of shells will be available. We
would appreciate the purchase of your shells from the club. No other vendor shall sell
shells on the grounds.
It is the shooter’s responsibility to check the bulletin board to make sure that their
money options, scores and totals are posted correctly before leaving the grounds.
Shooters are also responsible for the posting of their sub-event scores for accuracy in
amount and sequence. Further, it is their responsibility to notify the scoreboard
personnel immediately, in the event of error. Once the money options are figured,
there will not be any changes – unless the cashier has made an error in figuring.
It is the responsibility of Ladies, Juniors and Veterans to see that they are so indicated
on their entry card and on the bulletin sheets.
All ties will be shot off each day, if possible. Twenty-five targets for singles and ten
pair for doubles. Any contestant leaving the grounds before a shoot-off forfeits all
rights to same.
White flyer targets will be thrown at each host club for all zone shoots.
REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE
This certifies that the New York State Amateur Trapshooting Association, Inc. has been
authorized to hold registered shoots per the above dates and clubs respectively. The
Amateur Trapshooting Association Rules will govern the shoots and the scores will be
included in the Official Records.

PRE-SQUADDING INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-squadding requests for all NYSATA Shooting Tournaments will be posted on
PreSquad.com
Empire Grand deadline is May 24th.
State Shoot deadline is July 3rd.
Northeast Grand deadline is September 12th.
The non-refundable service charge of $2.00 per position, per event, must be included
with each request form. Multiply the number of positions selected by $2.00. Starting
this year there will be no entry cards issued. Anytime after 8:00 am Monday
morning, you may pick up a receipt showing your squads and positions for the shoot.
A shooter may only draw one position per event. Any shooters wishing to squad
together must fill out only one application indicating the shooter’s full name, ATA
number and handicap yardage on the line indicating the position that shooter wishes
to reserve.
Please use duplicate forms if you are squadding different shooters for some events
(e.g. if you are shooting with one group for singles and other shooters for handicap,
use one form for singles and another for handicap.)
Chair shooters should identify with a note attached to the form indicating name, ATA
number and position(s) requested for the chair shooter(s).
Applications for full or partial squads that do not have the required information will
not be processed. A shooter wishing to switch positions with another shooter must
have both ATA numbers and present them to a point of sale cashier.
SHOOTERS DESIRING TO CHANGE SQUADS AND/OR POSITIONS IN AN EVENT MUST
RELINQUISH THE POSITION THEY ARE HOLDING BEFORE BEING ELIGIBLE TO
REQUEST A NEW POSITION.
Please make sure you are using the correct form for the shoot you are requesting.
All applications should include the proper form(s) and a check in the appropriate
amount made payable to NYSATA.
Send completed forms along with your check payable to NYSATA (in U.S. Funds to):
