BOOK EARLY DON’T MISS THIS ONE, IT ONLY HAPPENS EVERY 50 YEARS!! th NZSDA 50 JUBILEE CONFERENCE Join the NZSDA executive, fellow members and associate members of the New Zealand Sign and Display Association to help us celebrate our 50th Anniversary and our Jubilee year. The NZSDA has invited foundation members, Life and Honorary members, and now invites past presidents and members to this auspicious event that culminates on Saturday night in the staging of the 19th Annual New Zealand Sign and Display Awards. DISTINCTION HOTEL, FENTON STREET, ROTORUA APRIL 23 - 26 ROTORUA 2015 TAKE A LOOK AT OUR PROGRAMME AND SEE WHAT WE HAVE PLANNED!! No longer a one or two day affair but nevertheless an important part of the annual calendar where members have a forum in which to express their views and initiate discussion and change. If you have a view on how or where the association should be going, this is the time to present that view. Later that evening we will be holding our traditional Meet ‘n’ Greet at the “Redwoods” forest. Just minutes from the Hotel, and providing cyclone Bola doesn't decide to return to the Bay of Plenty on this night, we think you will find this is a completely unique location for this years Meet ‘n’ Greet function. Friday morning sees you all up bright and early to take part in a special event in the same room as the Presidents breakfast. Can’t tell you what the special event is otherwise it wouldn’t be special now would it? One thing I can tell you is that you will enjoy it. Don't be late, because it is before breakfast, and we wouldn't want you to go hungry! After the official welcome by our President, Nick Baty, we will be hearing from internationally acclaimed speaker and author Ngahi Bidois. Ngahi has made presentations in New York, London, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hawaii and many Australian cities. Voted New Zealand National Speaker of the Year in 2011, Ngahi’s unique presentation is not to be missed. After our keynote speaker we travel to one of Rotorua’s premium attractions, Off Road NZ. Make sure you dress sensibly for the day which will kick off with a great BBQ lunch then we start the thrill seeking. Hang on to your hats this is fun, believe me. If you don't feel this is your thing you can just have your lunch and relax by the cash bar and get quietly brain impaired! Before you know it we will be on our way back to the Hotel to get ready for the Tamaki Maori Cultural experience. I had the pleasure of having a sneak preview of this most awarded NZ cultural Tourism Attraction event, which I think you will just love. It culminates in a hangi feast which is second to none. After a good night’s sleep it’s breakfast time again, and the golfers will be first cab off the rank and heading across the road at the Arikikapakapa Golf Course, with the Les Berridge Trophy up for grabs again. Then the pool players will get the annual pool tournament at the Rotorua Citizens Club under way, and about the same time the Duck tour will kick off for those who are not the sporty type and would prefer the spectacular sights of Rotorua both on the water and on land. The WW2 amphibious craft is a little beauty. After lunch all the groups will meet at the Skyline for a scrumptious buffet lunch and some more thrill seeking, or for the more laidback types a wine tasting will be a great alternative. About 4 pm if you haven’t perished on a luge, or fallen off a high wire, we will all meet at the bottom of the Gondola which is compulsory because it's the only way up or down unless you are into rock climbing. Believe me the view is bigger than Ben Hur. Back to the hotel for a quick shower and put on your best clobber for the marquee event of the year. The New Zealand Sign and Display Awards! This kicks off with a pre-dinner drinks at 6 pm with the awards kicking off at 6.45.pm. This is a chance to see our industry genius's get the rewards they deserve. We have the closing breakfast not too early the next morning (to accommodate the worst hangover) but more importantly time to say your farewells to people you may not see till next year in Christchurch. As this is our 50th Jubilee we would love to see all of our members helping us to celebrate this milestone with some of our foundation members. Please make the effort you wont regret it! If you want any information on any of the events don't hesitate to contact me. Tel: 06 843 3308, Mob: 027 273 6100 or e-mail: [email protected].
