Orthopaedica Belgica 2015 also welcomes societies dealing with orthopaedic
subspecialities such as the Belgian Association of Pediatric Orthopaedics
(BAPO), the Belgian Foot and Ankle Society (BFAS), the Belgian Hand Group
(BHG), and the Spine Society of Belgium (SSBe).
Furthermore the first Belgian CAOS (Computer-Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery)
Symposium will take place on Thursday, 23 April. The theme of the CAOS
Symposium is ‘Improving accuracy in computer assisted orthopaedic surgery’.
Louvain-La-Neuve – a young university town – will host the Orthopaedica Belgica
2015 Congress and we sincerely hope to welcome you to the Aula Magna, a
state-of-the-art exhibition and congress centre on 22 - 24 April 2015.

Hotel Accommodation
Social Programme
A number of hotel rooms have been booked at special group rates, including
breakfast and city taxes, at Ibis Styles Meeting Center Louvain-la-Neuve and
Château de Limelette.
The below rates are only applicable when booked through Medicongress. You
can book a hotel room as part of the registration process.
Housing requests are filled in order of receipt. Hotel availability cannot be
guaranteed after March 15.
Any requests for hotel accommodation must be accompanied by a credit card
number, in order to secure the room. This credit card will not be charged by the
organisers but only serves as a reservation guarantee. Delegates will have to
pay their hotel room and personal expenses at the hotel. Your credit card will
only be charged in case of late cancellation or no show.
A hotel confirmation will be sent by email after receipt of the registration form

Gala Dinner on Thursday, 23 April 2015
The Orthopaedica Belgica 2015 Gala Dinner will take place at the ‘Château de
la Hulpe’ also known as the ‘Solvay Castle’. The castle was built in French style
by the Marquis de Béthune in 1842. Both the castle and estate were acquired
by Ernest Solvay in 1893, to make it his summer residence, hence its popular
denomination. Count Solvay trusted Victor Horta with the interior decoration.
Today the estate is owned by the regional government of Wallonia, and is
classified as an ‘Exceptional Heritage Site in Wallonia’.
While the grounds are open to the public, the castle itself cannot be visited,
unless…. you join us for the Gala Dinner and access the ground floor of the
Château, with its superb reception rooms – some more intimate like the Chinese
Room, some more stately like the Great Hall – together they make up a tranquil
and harmonious ensemble.
Separate registration is required. Rate per person: 75,00 € (until 15/03).

the RIZIV / INAMI. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance by email at
the end of the Congress.

The official language is English. There is no simultaneous translation.
Exhibition
In conjunction with the Congress, a technical exhibition highlighting technical
equipment and pharmaceutical products will be held in the exhibition area of
the Congress Centre. Access to the exhibition is free for all participants. The
exhibition is not accessible for non-MDs.
Liability
Neither the organisers, nor the local committee accept liability for damages and/
or losses of any kind which be incurred by participants during the Congress.
Participants are advised to take out insurance against loss, accidents or damage
which could be incurred during the Congress.
