Spring Workshop Tuesday ~ April 28, 2015 See attached information! Rick Wolcott, Director of Communications for the East Ohio Conference, will share about improving the message we are sending to our communities. Rev. Bill McCartney, retired, will help us understand the United Methodist Church structure — the Who, What and Why — of our church. Ohio PAUMCS Membership is not required to attend this workshop. Registration Fee: Includes workshop, breakfast/lunch and CEU credits. Lodging Opportunities: You are encouraged to stay overnight at Widewater Retreat on Monday, April 27. Widewater is a beautiful facility and this is a great opportunity to connect with other PAUMCS members and learn from each other. The cost for overnight accommodations is $45. (Please see the additional flyer to register for overnight stay.) It often seems that we can’t take the time for an overnight—or it isn’t in the budget, but getting to know one another is so worth the time and effort. We know the speakers and the food will be excellent. Plus there is a wealth of knowledge within our group. This always is noted on PAUMCS evaluations—’time for sharing.’ An overnight is just the thing we need. Who can resist a campfire, singing, sharing, laughing and s’mores? Mission Project: United Methodist Church Camp Scholarships — we will accept donations towards church camper scholarships. Ohio PAUMCS will match all donations and the amount raised will be split between the East Ohio and West Ohio Conferences. There will be a display of camps in Ohio. CEUs: Approval has been requested for a recertification credit of .5 CEU by the Professional Training and Standards Committee of National PAUMCS. It is not too late to join Ohio PAUMCS (or National for that matter) for 2015. Enjoy the benefits of membership for the next nine months. Just $25 per year or a bargain price of $40 for a staff membership if you have more than one in the office. If you have questions, contact Lin Tranter. It is not too late to register for the National PAUMCS Conference in Atlanta! April 16-19. Check it out on the National website, www.paumcs.org.
