Shanghai Summer Programme
FEES & EXPENSES
For students from ESSCA’s exchange partner universities, tuition fees for the
Shanghai Summer Programme are waived.
Included in the programme:
 Company visits
 Help for finding accommodation
 Course materials (there are no books to buy)
 Welcome lunch and farewell dinner
 Airport pick-up
Not included in the programme:
 Personal international plane tickets and local transportation: taxi:14 RMB + 3,6

 Meals: Chinese set lunch menu: 30 RMB, Big Mac Menu: 20 RMB, Japanese
set lunch menu: 30 RMB
 Accommodation in hotels or private apartments: estimated costs including
Chinese breakfast at Andersen Culture hotel: 240 RMB/night, double room (to
share a roommate of your choice): 240 RMB/night
 Personal expenses
 Registration and administration fee of 990 RMB to be paid at ESAI

Please send your remittance of payment with your application to ESSCA. An
acceptance letter will then be sent to you.
Students from non-partner universities are required to pay tuition fees of €1,300 to
ESSCA (please note that the estimation of accommodation costs is €2,300).
VISAS
A visa is mandatory. Non-Chinese students will need to present their letter of
acceptance to apply for a visa. Please check the Chinese consulate website for the
exact procedure and any other documents that the consulate may require for the visa
application.
Students will need to register with ESSCA’s local host institute ESAI and pay a
Registration and Administration fee of 990 RMB for the summer programme in
Shanghai to cover the administration charges for insurance of official visa documents
Shanghai Summer Programme
as required by the Chinese Government. Our local team will also help you to register
with the police and local authorities.
HEALTH INSURANCE
Valid international health insurance or travel insurance covering hospital care and
repatriation is required to fulfil your registration on the Summer Programme. Please
send us a copy of your insurance and make sure your document is written either in
French or English.
