ONCA Centre
for Arts & Ecology
Based in the heart of Brighton, ONCA is a charity that fosters a greater understanding of ecology
through contemporary art & creative education. Join our new Centre for Arts & Ecology, above
the ONCA Gallery, where we are bringing together a vibrant community of creatives*, charities,
start-ups & businesses with a concern for sustainability & ecology. Across three floors in our
beautiful Grade II listed building, we provide permanent & flexible desk space in a friendly working
environment, with creative practice & environmental awareness at its core.
Almost all of the materials in our newly refurbished Centre are reclaimed - from paint &
furniture to kitchenware & shelving. We keep our carbon footprint & waste production as low as
possible, & we are keen to work with you to find the most creative ways of doing this together.

We offer three types of membership:
Initial set up fee £50 + £100 deposit applies
A permanent desk in one of our five office hubs; use of the garden & communal area/kitchen; use
of our arts & ecology resource room; fibre optic broadband; 24/7 office access; lockable storage
space; postal address; recycling & composting facilities; office cleaning & maintenance; bookable
meeting space; 15% discount on gallery hire for meetings, parties & exhibitions; priority booking
for gallery events; invitations to both online & offline community activities.
£50 deposit applies
Use of a hot desk one day a week*; access between 9.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday; use of the
garden & communal area/kitchen; use of our arts & ecology resource room; fibre optic broadband;
recycling & composting facilities; office cleaning & maintenance; bookable meeting space; 15%
discount on gallery hire for meetings, parties & exhibitions; priority booking for gallery events;
invitations to both online & offline community activities; option to add postal address & storage.
*Option for two days a week at £75 p/m (May-August), £110 p/m afterwards.

Our chic meeting room (247 sq. ft.), with capacity for up to 20, is at the heart of the ONCA Centre
for Arts & Ecology, nestled above the UK’s foremost art gallery & performance space dedicated
to ecology. The meeting room is private & quiet, with original Regency features & views across
the city. Rental includes use of the kitchen & garden, fibre optic broadband & additional add-on
of equipment hire (projector, flip charts etc).
Where to find us: ONCA is a few minutes’ walk from Brighton station, five minutes from Brighton
University Grand Parade, ten minutes’ walk from the sea & just around the corner from the Lanes,
Brighton’s unique shopping district. The nearest car park is London Road Car Park, Providence Place.
