Once classes start you must register In Person the first day of class.
All classes meet at Bales Intermediate School unless otherwise noted in the course description. Teachers
will meet students and parents each day of class and escort to the classroom. Parents must pick up students
promptly when their child's activities finish each day. All supplies provided unless stated otherwise in the camp
description. Supervision is not provided afterward. All camps are coed unless otherwise stated in course

A. Walter – Don’t just play games! Make them! You will be creating your own video game in this fun,
stimulating video game class. Show off your creative side and passion for gaming! Students will be introduced
to the awesome world of video game creation in a noncompetitive, step-by-step process. You will produce
games, animations and simulation projects in this class. After learning how to make a game, students will be
able to take a copy of their final project to play at home. Taught by the Computer Science teacher at the high
school. This camp meets in room 608 at the Friendswood High School. Please use the door with a Blue &

J. Reichardt - Enter into the world of Angry Birds® and Bad Piggies®. Campers will be challenged to
physically build and destroy a level from the popular game of Angry Birds. Set your birds to flight by
launching them on catapults and slingshots to destroy pigs. Build a working launcher to create things to knock
down. Campers will have the ability to build different colored birds using LEGO® Bricks, along with our
proprietary model kits. At the end of the week, all campers will go home with a custom mini figure and camp

C. Romell – Let the races begin! This camp is half indoors and half outdoors. Test your agility by jumping
hurtles, three legged races with teammates, running and sliding on a slip-n-slide, and many more obstacles to
overcome. We will also teach you how to become a team player and learn to work with others effectively.
There will be individual, paired and group racing. Learn how to stretch appropriately before you do any

S. Bouis – Great instruction to tennis from a top professional. Develop tennis strokes and promote match play
with strategic purpose. Racquets discussed at first class; bring yours if you already have one. These camps
located at the old junior high tennis courts on Woodlawn. In case of rain, report to the next scheduled class. No
restrooms available. Contact instructor for additional information, or to arrange a different time for your child,

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
FISD Summer Community Education activities are scheduled June 9 - July 10 at the times and
locations listed in this publication. A technology fee is included in the cost of all camps
requiring use of computers. Activities are open to all students who meet the listed age
requirements. Registrations are processed in the order received in the Community Ed Office.
Register early to assure space in your selected activities.
If a class is cancelled, refunds will be processed mid-July. No refunds for withdrawal after
June 6. However, with prior permission, students may be substituted (one for another) prior to
the start of a class. Please list courses in order of preference in case some classes are full.
Notifications made if classes not available. If you do not hear otherwise, please consider your
child enrolled. Register by mail: Begins when summer flyer is available (print/online).
Photocopied registration forms accepted.
Registration at Bales begins Monday, June 9, 8 am-12 noon, through July 9 with Summer
Supervisor on a space available basis. Classes with insufficient enrollment as of May 31 are
subject to cancellation.
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY: Students who do not behave in class or are not picked up promptly
will be dropped from their classes and all fees forfeited.
