COMMUNITY BUILDING
Catholics Returning Home
Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church will offer a six week series
entitled “Catholics Returning Home” beginning Tuesday, April 14,
2015 at 7:00pm, at Our Lady of the Hills Parish Life Center Library.
The sessions are for non-practicing Catholics who are seeking
answers to questions about returning to the Church. If you know
someone who has left the Church, please invite them to join us. For
more information call Sister Christina Murphy, SND at 772-7400

Hospitality Table-is available this weekend
after all the Masses. The Hospitality Table will be
available each weekend after every Mass. Stop
by and see what is going on in the parish-and get
your questions answered.
Applications for the OLH Women's Group Annual
Scholarship Award for graduating seniors are on the
table in the narthex or may be found on the OLH web
site under youth group. If you are a graduating senior
please obtain an application form and complete it if you
are interested in applying for the scholarship award.
Completed applications and references must be received
no later than April 17, 2015.

Gustav Mahler once stated that “Spring won’t let me stay in
this house any longer! I must get out and breathe the air
deeply again.” So, it is time for the Shepherd’s Center of St.
Andrews to help you get out and enjoy the Spring. The next
Session begins on March 24th and lasts for nine weeks. You
may preregister by going to our website

form, complete it, and mail it along with your payment of $25.00
to the address on the form. You may also register on the 1st day
of classes (come early-classes begin at 9:30 a.m. except for Line

Stations will be On Friday, March 27th at

followed by a meatless Soup Supper in
the Hall of the Family Life Center. This annual event
is presented by the OLH Youth Group.
Christ Central ~ Thanks for your continued support with much
needed clothing and other supplies for the homeless in our
community. Donations of new or used clothing in clean condition
may be placed in the white chest located in the Church Narthex. Tax
donation receipts are also available in the chest.

Sharing God’s Love Spring Yard Sale – April
18, 8am-1pm - We are now accepting items to be sold for the
benefit of the ministry. Item s may be donated Monday through
Friday from 9am -12N. Furniture donations will be accepted on
Saturday, April 11th from 9am -12N and Monday-Friday the week of
April 13th.
Birthright of Columbia, a pro-life emergency pregnancy
service staffed solely by volunteers will begin training for Office
Volunteers – individual who are willing to provide one-on-one
assistance to girls and women who are faced with an unplanned or
problem pregnancy. The four-part training session will begin on
Tuesday, March 24th at 6pm and run three successive Tuesdays at
their office located at 1405 Gregg St. For more information call

Families in Philadelphia, a family friendly event that is held
every three years and sponsored by the Holy See’s Pontifical
Council for the Family. The theme of the World Meeting of
Families is “Love Is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive,”
emphasizing the impact of the love and life of families on our
society. The Diocese of Charleston-Office of Family Life is
organizing a trip that will include transportation and lodging from
September 21-28, 2015. Registrations must be done by the

Dear Friends of the Poor, Homeless, Elderly & Handicapped:
Once again St. Peter’s Catholic Church and St. Vincent de Paul
Society will sponsor our 30th Annual Easter Banquet for the poor,
homeless and elderly on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 from 11:00 AM
until 1:00 PM at 1529 Assembly St, downtown Columbia. We plan on
feeding 500-600 guests.
We will be giving our little ones, the children, Easter Baskets,
the adults, toiletries bags. For lunch we will be serving ham, turkey,
mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, tea, lemonade and
homemade Easter Desserts.
