Announcement for 2015 Ray Ingersoll undergraduate thesis award:
Raymond V. Ingersoll Undergraduate Award
PS-SEPM is now accepting nominations for the Raymond V. Ingersoll undergraduate thesis award. This
award is for the best senior thesis in sedimentology/stratigraphy by an undergraduate student. The
award consists of $500, and award plaque, a PS-SEPM t-shirt, and a 1-year membership in PS-SEPM.
Nomination procedure:
Students are nominated for the Ingersoll award by their senior thesis advisor. Nomination forms are
attached and must be filled out completely. Nominations must be submitted to PS-SEPM awards
manager Dan Sturmer ([email protected]) no later than Friday, May 15th, 2015. An abstract of
the thesis also must be included with the nomination form. Following evaluation by the awards
committee, students with the top three thesis abstracts will be asked to submit their entire thesis for
review. Awards will be announced in fall 2015 and formally recognized at the 2016 PS-SEPM meeting.
