CONGRATULATIONS ALL-PA ACADEMIC TEAM

“My planned future goal is to have a teaching
job working with special needs children as
well as the deaf. I want to become fluent in
American Sign Language.”

“While many seeming ‘misfortunes’ altered my
original college plans, they have led me here,
to community college, and to all the amazing
people and experiences I have met/had over the
past three years. Today, I am stronger, smarter
and better because of the path I have followed.”

About the All-PA Program
About the New Century Scholar
About the Coca-Cola Gold/Silver Scholars
Annually, the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges joins Phi Theta
Kappa to honor students who have been nominated to the All-PA Academic Team.
The All-PA Academic Team awards recognize exceptional students who have
achieved academic excellence and demonstrated a commitment to their colleges and
communities. These students represent the diversity of community colleges and are a
testament to the community colleges’ mission: to provide an accessible and affordable
path to higher education for all Pennsylvanians.
The student receiving the highest All-USA Community College Academic Team
application score in each state is named a Coca-Cola New Century Scholar. The
program annually recognizes 52 scholars with scholarships of $2,000 each.
The Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team recognizes high-achieving
two-year college students who demonstrate academic excellence and intellectual
rigor combined with leadership and service that extends their education beyond the
classroom to benefit society. The Gold Scholars will each receive $1,500 scholarships,
and the Silver Scholars will receive $1,250 scholarships. In 2015, eight PA students
received these prestigious awards and scholarships, including five Gold Scholars, which
represents 10% of the Gold Scholars nationwide.
