Teacher Initiated Learning From the moment your little ones arrive to class, they are engaged in developmentally appropriate learning activities guided by the teacher. Using FunShine Express theme-based curriculum, students explore topics such as weather, animals, sports, and the world through art, music, and dance. We also focus on language, phonics and moral development, math and so much more. During circle time, students listen to stories, sing songs, and learn Spanish/sign language. Teachers complete bi-weekly, individual skill assessments to document growth and schoolreadiness as well as provide additional support where needed. Child Initiated Learning Throughout the day, children participate in supervised, independent learning to explore and play with friends. During center time, they engage in dramatic play, manipulatives and literacy activities. Each center is equipped with age appropriate materials to enhance learning. Students also visit the playground twice per day for physical exercise and social play.
