Y N University of North Texas Academic Scholarship Agreement Scholarships awarded by the Department of Criminal Justice Scholarship Committee require recipients to meet certain criteria to apply for and hold the scholarship. The criteria for this scholarship require you to: 1. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the Master of Science in Criminal Justice Program; 2. Be a first semester graduate student in the Department of Criminal Justice; 3. Enroll as a part-time or full-time student in the Master of Science in Criminal Justice Program at the University of North Texas; 4. Be available to attend Department of Criminal Justice and College of Public Affairs and Community Service events as requested for one year upon receiving the scholarship; and 5. Submit an essay which includes the following (please limit your essay to 750 words): a.) Why you desire a career in criminal justice, b.) Description of any prior criminal justice experience, c.) Description of your service activities, and d.)
