welcome to summer creativity!
summer is the perfect time to try something new. Free from the rest of the year’s hectic
pace, summer allows the mind to wander and the senses to fill. What better time to
sink your hands into clay, or load a brush with tantalizing color?
For kids, it’s a time to let their creativity loose. pliant brains blossom, and problem-solving
is a joy. when doing something creative, kids concentrate effortlessly. learning is cemented with hands-on, tactile experiences. all while having fun! and you don’t have to
be a Picasso to enjoy a sense of accomplishment with your finished work of art.
summer is a special time at pelham art center. weeklong summer “camp” sessions
are fun and flexible, to fit with families’ summer schedules. AM, PM and full day camp
workshops are jam-packed with creative experiences, from art-making to theater.
scholarships are available and all abilities welcome.
adults can choose from an exciting variety of art and craft classes and workshops, from
traditional to trending. all experience levels are welcome. our affordable classes and
workshops are all taught by artist-instructors.
pelham art center topples the barriers to experiencing and enjoying art. that’s why
we offer so many free family-friendly art activities, like exhibitions of local, national and
international artists. Families can attend receptions; parents enjoy the art and a glass of
wine while the children create art in the studios. our Folk art series – like our Japanese
cherry Blossom Festival, Diwali, hindu Festival of light, argentine tango and more
– offer different cultural celebrations with traditional dance, music and art-making for
the whole family – all for free. we offer dozens of free art and literary talks, music and
dramatic performances, public art and interactive art happenings – all for your pleasure
and enrichment.
a fast-changing world is valuing creativity more and more in every aspect of work and
play. creativity is a ceo’s most valuable skill. we’re a country of innovators. whether
you tap your creativity to problem-solve, nourish your wellbeing, or just have fun, pelham
art center offers hundreds of rich opportunities to exercise that creative muscle.
enjoy your creative adventure this summer!
