“Summer is coming” - time to trim, clean, and paint!
Now’s the time to get your home exterior and lawn back in tip-top shape.
As we all know, fencing, exterior paving, and walls get a bit moldy over
time, so please pressure-wash and paint as needed. If your home or lawn
hasn’t been cared for properly, you can expect a notice asking you to correct the problem. If you have any outstanding issues left unaddressed from
the last mail-out of violations, please attend to those items immediately. If
you’d like to make changes to the appearance of your home, or if you see a
neighborhood issue, please send a message to: [email protected]
Annual $25 Paddocks Dues letter in this mailing!
Please return your $25 annual Paddocks HOA dues promptly to avoid penalties and interest. If you owe any back dues, please include that as well.

It’s time for the Annual General Meeting of your local association - the
Paddocks HOA. Meeting place: WLCA office. We need two volunteers
for the Architectural Control Committee. With about ~1 hour per
week, you can really help. Board position not required, just be willing to
communicate within a committee of three (3) to review change requests for
homes/yards in The Paddocks, and review the monthly notifications that
community agent, Marlene Merrin sends out. If you haven’t helped the
neighborhood in the last several years, please step up - it’s your turn.
You should have received a yellow “proxy card” and pre-stamped
mailer along with this packet. If you can’t attend the annual meeting,
please return the card with the name of someone who you know will attend - a “proxy”. You can also leave the assignment line blank to choose
secretary Ron Albright as proxy. Proxies let us make quorum, and do business as needed. Big topics this year: Dues increase, and amending CCRs!
Thank you, and “See you there!” Scott Kantrowitz

Don’t ignore Fining Notices...correct the problem!
If you receive a notice that you are about to be fined for a CCR violation - for goodness’ sake don’t
ignore it - correct the problem, or it will cost you $100 a day! No one really wants your money, so tend to
it, tidy it, move it, fix it, clean it, paint it, re-plant it, or replace it as necessary! (Save us all some trouble)
Movie Night Fun
We recently had our first
“Movie On The Commons”
event (pictured right). With the
use of spray and fans, we kept
the bugs at bay, and the residents who attended enjoyed a
10-foot screen, fresh(!) popcorn,
and asked if we would consider
repeating the event monthly.
Meeting Agenda Items
Proposed agenda items for the
Annual Meeting (June 4) include:
 Raising Paddocks HOA an-
nual dues for the first time
since 1986 to cover increased
legal and insurance costs, and
cover the effects of inflation
 Selecting items to consider
for the CCR (deed restriction) amendment process, such as formally allowing white vinyl fencing, setting criteria for allowable
storage structures, etc.
 Election of Paddocks Board
members for 2015-2016
