Recommended Products for the Treatment of Vitamin D Deficiency




Unlicensed oral preparations should no longer be prescribed due to the availability of licensed
alternatives. Prescribe by BRAND.

InVitaD3 is currently the only product licensed for the use in children-see SPC for dosing
information.
Treatment for deficiency will be for a maximum of 12 weeks before review so it is recommended
to avoid putting Vitamin D on repeat prescription
