When: Clinics – Monday and Tuesday ~ April 20th and 21st
Audition – Wednesday ~ April 22nd
Time: 3:30-5:30pm (accommodations will be made for those students who must either leave early or
arrive late)

PLEASE READ:
The Bruinettes are considered both a club and a team. We are fiercely dedicated to putting on a
professional-grade performance. Everyone goes through the same application process regardless of
experience or seniority on the line and everyone is subjected to the same standards for judging. Current
placement on the line does not guarantee a slot for the upcoming season, so you must put your best foot
forward in terms of attitude, effort, and proficiency. Should you be accepted to the line, you must be willing to
commit to the following:
APPLICANTS - Please read the following information and sign below.

Franciscan High School’s Dance Team/Marching Band. I understand this commitment includes attendance at:





ALL Padua football games (including post-season) for the Fall 2015/2016 season.
ALL other Marching Band performances/functions (band shows, parades etc.)
ALL Marching Band/Dance Team rehearsals after school
Dance Team clinics and fundraising functions
Summer Band Camp in August (dates to be provided at our first meeting)
I also understand that acceptance into the Dance Team enters me into the Marching Band course for which I
will be GRADED on all aspects of performance and practice including teamwork, attitude, knowing routines,
marching etc.
Finally, I accept the task of being a responsible team member and will always try to do my best for the good of
the team!

FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR CAPTAIN:
You are to choreograph 2-minute routine, in the style of our rallies. Please do your best to show off your
technique and ability to come up with unique choreography. You are free to choose the music. You must also
submit with your registration form a 300-word TYPED essay covering the following.
